Sounds of the 90s with Fearne Cotton

Do you like scary mixtapes? It's a 90s Halloween fright night with Fearne!

Feelgood favourites, hidden gems and fresh new tunes to groove and soothe you. DJ Spoony serves up a brilliant selection of classic soul, disco, soulful house, R&B, funk, UK garage, reggae, hip-hop, doo-wop, yacht rock and more. Our genial host also gives his New 2 Spoon record of the week another spin. Every Tuesday a Good Groove listener takes us back to a treasured venue or club night of their past in new feature Night Fever. We'll get a sense of the lost sights, smells and sounds of the UK's nightlife, across the decades. It's a big dollop of nostalgia! To share your tales and tunes email spoony@bbc.co.uk. Tuesday night is also Rewind Selector night! Picking the tracks that take him back is electronic music pioneer Moby (Richard Melville Hall). As one of the defining artists of the late 1990s and early 2000s, Moby scored UK hits with tracks including"Go","Porcelain","Natural Blues","Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?","We Are All Made of Stars" and "Extreme Ways". His breakthrough 1999 album Play reached No 1 in the UK and became a huge seller. Follow-up albums 18 and Hotel were also major UK successes. Moby continues to record and release music, often exploring more ambient and reflective sounds. His latest album, Future Quiet, was released in February 2026 and features ambient compositions alongside selected vocal collaborations, including a new version of"When It's Cold I'd Like to Die" with Jacob Lusk, formerly of Gabriels. Spoony wraps things up with a Midnight Feast track. Think big production, lush orchestration, and the best voices in the business!
