Newsday

Available for 27 days

Large demonstrations are expected to take place across France today in the latest phase of the protest movement that’s gripped the country for the last month. The action has been called by the main trade unions which are demanding pay rises to offset the effects of inflation. Democrats have been setting out their priorities for the next Congress. It follows their triumphant result in the midterms elections in the US. So where does this leave President Trump and the Republican party as they evaluate how unpopular wars and leadership might have led to the party's near collapse? And Joshua Wong, the face of Hong Kong's pro-democracy protests has been jailed for 10 years. Presenters: James Copnall and Rebecca Kesby.
