Carlisle United have lodged appeals to the FA against both of the red cards they received during their memorable 3-0 victory over Harrogate Town on Wednesday night.

The Cumbrians were reduced to nine men in the first half, with the scoreline at 1-0, when Miguel Azeez was shown a straight red card for a lunging tackle in the 14th minute before Harvey Bunker was dismissed on the half-hour mark for a foul on Josh Hmami.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Carlisle scored twice in the second half through Callum Whelan and Ryan Galvin to extend their unbeaten league run to five games.

After the match, head coach Rob Eliott labelled the victory as "the most incredible" game of his playing or managerial career.
