Chesterfield manager Paul Cook has been charged with misconduct by The Football Association for his behaviour during his side's match with Newport County.

The Spireites lost 4-1 in south Wales last Friday and Cook was sent off at half-time by referee Zac Kennard-Kettle with his side already trailing 3-0.

Cook has been charged with improper behaviour and/or abusive and insulting language towards a match official both before and after his dismissal.

He has until 9 November to provide a response.
