Newport Tennis Centre will host Wales' highest level men's tournament next year.

Taking place from 24-31 January, the M25 event will attract international players ranked approximately 200-400 in the world.

It is a level all of Wales' top players have competed at, so James Story, Finn Murrgett and Viktor Frydrych could all be involved.

The singles and doubles champions will secure $25,000 (£18,500) in prize money, plus ranking points towards competing on the professional tour.

The announcement follows the success of the ladies' W100 tournament which will return to Wrexham for a third year in October 2027.

Mark Lewis, Tennis Wales' competition and events manager, said: "We are delighted to bring the Lexus British Pro Series Newport M25 to south Wales.

"Hosting a tournament of this level provides an outstanding opportunity for Welsh players to compete on home soil while inspiring the next generation of players and fans."
