- White chocolate buttons (halved)
Difficulty: Easy
Great for: Ages 6+
Makes: 10 vampire teeth cookies
Time needed: 25 - 30 minutes (15 minutes preparation, 10 - 12 minutes baking)
Oven temperature: 180°C / 160°C fan / Gas Mark 4
Method 🧛🏼♀️
🚨 Be careful when using kitchen appliances. Ask a grown-up to help you! 🚨
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/Gas Mark 4 and line two baking trays with baking paper.
Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Carefully chop the chocolate into small pieces.
Stir in the flour, bicarbonate of soda, chopped chocolate and ¼ tsp salt until a dough forms.
Roll the dough into 10 equal-sized balls and place them on the baking trays, leaving space between each one.
Bake in the centre of the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Leave the cookies to cool completely.
Once cooled, carefully cut each cookie in half.
Turn the cookie halves over so the flat sides are facing upwards and spread a layer of red frosting on each piece.
Arrange mini marshmallows around the curved edge of one cookie half to create the teeth. Add four extra marshmallows in the middle to help support the structure.
Place the second cookie half on top to create the vampire's mouth.
To make the fangs, place half a white chocolate button between the marshmallow teeth on one side, then repeat on the other side.
🎃 Your spooky vampire teeth cookies are ready. Enjoy, and Happy Halloween! 🎃
