  1. Crystal Palace 3-1 Nottingham Forest: What Glasner saidpublished at 17:16 BST 11 October

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to Sky Sports: "We didn't kill the game off and we should have done it, creating so many chances. I played many games here and I haven't seen a team create so many chances. At the end we did not convert them.

"We conceded the two goals before half time then we had two big chances but then we conceded the slapstick goal and we are 3-1 down.

"Today it looks like it is just me who is responsible for this, call it karma or whatever but it was like I didn't deserve to win at Selhurst Park because the players did everything. Nobody to blame for anything, the effort was there and the quality was there.

"This performance will give us confidence even if it feels strange with the result.

"Crazy game but for us it is important not just to look at the result.

"A huge thank you to the Palace supporters and the Forest supporters. It is not often you are supported from both sides, so thank you very much."

On the Liam Delap chance: "He has scored 90% of his goals with power, that is his strength and I don't blame him for this. He knows he could have done it differently but I think 10 times with the same situation he would have scored that."

On the second Palace goal: "I haven't watched it back. Maybe today it was not clear and obvious."

  2. Nottingham Forest analysis - frustration and controversy published at 17:12 BST 11 October

Nottingham Forest fans will have left Selhurst Park wondering how it all unravelled for their side, given just how in control they were for the majority of the first half.

They looked sharp and hungry for the ball, as well as capable of scoring with every attack but that almost all disappeared from the moment Palace equalised.

Forest may also feel aggrieved that Palace's crucial second goal - scored moments before half-time - was allowed to stand.

Initially it looked like a good header by Jefferson Lerma through the legs of Matz Sels, but replays showed that his effort did graze the elbow of Anan Khalaili.

  4. Sutton's predictions: Crystal Palace v Forestpublished at 11:15 BST 11 October

Chris Sutton smiling on a yellow and black background with 'Sutton's predictions' written below his face

Crystal Palace have started slowly under Pierre Sage but he is not the only new manager who has not really settled in yet.

Nottingham Forest lost at home to Coventry City last time out, and they have been a bit up and down under Oliver Glasner so far.

But I'm expecting Glasner to get a decent reception on his return to his old club, and I have a feeling he will take home the three points too.

    Sutton's prediction: 0-1

  5. Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest: Key stats and talking pointspublished at 13:31 BST 10 October

    BBC Sport journalist

BBC Sport examines some of the key themes before Sunday's match (14:00 BST), with Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner returning to face former club Crystal Palace.

Palace aim to end Forest hoodoo

"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." That seems to have been the approach of Glasner, who failed to win any of his five games against Forest as Palace boss before swapping Selhurst Park for the City Ground this summer.

Palace's poor record in this fixture predates Glasner's appointment in 2024, with the Londoners winless in all 12 Premier League meetings. That is the most they have faced an opponent in the competition without winning, and likewise the most games Forest have played against one side without losing.

A convincing case can be made that Glasner is the most successful manager in Palace's history. The Austrian led them to their first two major honours - the FA Cup in 2025 and the Conference League a year later.

Some supporters may have been disappointed that he left to join a club who finished one place below Palace last season. However, owner Steve Parish has urged fans to give him a "fantastic reception" and ignore the "pantomime narratives".

Glasner's successor, Pierre Sage, earned his first Premier League clean sheet in the draw against Leeds United last time out but has lost both of his top-flight home games.

The Frenchman has chopped and changed so far, fielding 27 players in the league, a joint record by any Premier League team after five matches. Continuity will be needed if they are to climb the table.

    Gibbs-White thriving on the road

Nottingham Forest were one of four Premier League clubs - including Crystal Palace - who earned more points away than at home last season, and that trend has become even more pronounced this term.

Forest have failed to score in all four of their league and cup games at the City Ground, but have drawn 2-2 at Liverpool and won 2-1 at Aston Villa.

Including last season, they have scored at least twice in seven consecutive top-flight away matches, the longest such run in the club's history.

One of the key players behind that sequence has been Morgan Gibbs-White. The 26-year-old played only 45 minutes during the international break, split between four substitute appearances for England, but is undoubtedly the talisman for his club.

Gibbs-White has either scored or assisted in eight consecutive Premier League away games, one short of the record shared by Andy Cole, Robin van Persie and Erling Haaland.

  6. Glasner on team news, Crystal Palace memories and season so farpublished at 15:30 BST 9 October

    BBC Sport journalist

    Media caption,

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner has been speaking to the media before Sunday's Premier League game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park (kick-off 14:00 BST).

Here are the key lines from his news conference:

    • Glasner provided an update on the fitness of Nikola Milenkovic and Igor Jesus: "Milenkovic has a bone bruise and will miss the game, he can't train. Jesus has a muscle injury in his calf and will be out for a few weeks."

    • He added: "All Internationals came back fit and healthy. Neco Williams returned well and trained with us yesterday, but did not feel well and got fever in the night. We will see how he recovers."

    • On facing his former club Crystal Palace: "There are mixed emotions and I have fantastic memories of more than two years there. Great memories of the fans, of the times we had together and the wonderful staff I had met there."

    • Glasner added that his time with the Eagles was "two very successful and great years of my life" and he will be giving hugs before and after the game to Palace staff. He hopes to be able to do that at Forest in a few years too.

    • On the match itself, the Forest boss "expects a very tight game" and that "you know the weaknesses but it's all theory - how can we transfer that to the pitch? That's the most important part."

    • On moving leaving Palace to become head coach at Forest: "I took the decision to become Nottingham Forest manager, it was never a decision between Palace and Forest. When it was time to renew my contract I decided not to for different reasons. In the summer when I thought about it, could I be Oliver Glasner there, how I want to be, managing with my strengths and qualities? And that's why I'm now here."

    • Glasner said he is "not satisfied" with the points the Reds have and where they are in the table, but "complaining never helps, we have to be critical, the facts never lie. It our responsibility to take advantage from this."

    • He offered his opinion on the guilty verdict, external handed to Manchester City: "I can react on the final verdict, but in general, if somebody cheats they need to get punished. If not, then not. I think we all hope for the integrity of the game and of the Premier League that the final verdict is spoken soon."
