WICKET - Durham 205 All outpublished at 12:15 BST 3 September

    Aldridge c Sanderson b Chahal 5 (Northants v Durham 205)

Kasey Aldridge opens his shoulders and tries to launch Yuzvendra Chahal to Mars but doesn't get it at all and is held in the deep by Ben Sanderson.

    Durham lose 7-48!

    But it's turn, turn, turning.

Let's see how Northants fair. This still might be a competitive total.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:13 BST 3 September

    Roland-Jones lbw b Walkden 18 (Middx 209-8 v Lancs)

Toby Ro-Jo has dished out a bit of tap to Ben Walkden but he has been pinned in front of middle and leg here and has to go.

Walkden has 3-51 but Middx's aggressive lower order hitting is probably doing a decent job here. They would probably take from 151-4 to 209-8.

  3. Ball going around corners in Northamptonpublished at 12:11 BST 3 September

    Durham 202-9 v Northants

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Despite the loss of 49 overs yesterday, because of bad weather, this game is flying along today and I could easily envisage Durham batting for a second time later this afternoon!

Six wickets have fallen so far on day two, for just 45 runs and with the ball going around corners from the spinners.

The first wicket saw Mayank Agarwal get an inside edge off Ben Sanderson. He departed in the 37th over for 36. But then the spinners got among the action.

Yuzvendra Chahal bowled Ben Stokes with a ball that came back in from about seventh stump, while Calvin Harrison bowled Ollie Robinson around his legs for four.

The batsman really struggled from the moment he got out in the middle and could have been out at least twice before he did depart.

In all of the melee Colin Ackermann also got himself run out for 11. Durham are not going to get a batting point at this rate but their bowlers will be licking their lips at the prospect of having a bowl on this track in a few minutes.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:07 BST 3 September

    Potts b Chahal 0 (Northants v Durham 202-9)

    Matthew Potts comes...and goes...

Yuzvendra Chahal picks up this third wicket with a classic leg-break that's too good for Potts.

Tossed up, a bit of drift, a bit of dip, Potts comes forward, ball pitches middle and leg, turns, hits off.

    Just too good.

  5. 200 up for Warwickshirepublished at 12:06 BST 3 September

    Hants v Warks 201-2

Warwickshire don't seem to have been knocked off their stride by the loss of Dan Mousley.

Sam Hain comes down the pitch to launch the spin of Andrew Neal for a one bounce four to bring up the 200.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:03 BST 3 September

    Robinson b Harrison 11 (Northants v Durham 201-8)

    Round his legs.

It's been a bit of a struggle for Ollie Robinson to be fair and his 34-ball stay at the crease is ended by another one that's turned a long way.

The Durham keeper goes down looking to sweep but he's gone a bit too far and left his stumps exposed and that bit of spin has diverted the ball into his timbers.

Northants well happy with their morning's work.

  7. 200 runs

Postpublished at 12:02 BST 3 September

    Middx 203-7 v Lancs

Toby Roland-Jones brings up the 200 for the hosts with a second consecutive straight hit for four off Ben Walkden. The second was particularly well-timed over long on.

  8. 100 up for Nottinghamshirepublished at 12:01 BST 3 September

    Notts 101-3

Notts bring up their century off 31 overs.

Joe Clarke and Jack Haynes look to build a partnership at Trent Bridge. Since the dismissal of Ben Slater this morning, the home side have struggled to build a meaningful partnership.

Josh Hull and Tom Scrivens currently bowl in tandem.

  9. 50 runs

50 for Tom Lammonbypublished at 11:59 BST 3 September

    Somerset 125-1 v Glam 194

A crunched backfoot cut off Mason Crane trundles to the cover boundary and Tom Lammonby has his half century in 99 deliveries.

Timm van der Gugten trotted towards the ball and with a little more urgency might have cut that off before it reached the rope.

  10. 50 runs

50 for Braceypublished at 11:57 BST 3 September

    Bracey 57* (Gloucs 106-6)

James Bracey bring up an excellent half-century with two boundaries off Ben Aitchison's sixteenth over.

This over also brings up the century for Gloucestershire, who have Bracey to thank for holding their innings together.

He has batted fluently in the last few overs, scoring three boundaries in his last seven balls faced - it seems he is batting on a different pitch to everyone else.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:57 BST 3 September

    D'Oliveira c Muyeye b Stewart 7 (Kent 238 v Worcestershire 141-4)

Big drive. Sharp catch at second slip.

Worcestershire lose their second wicket of the morning as the skipper Brett D'Oliveira drives hard at Grant Stewart.

He's not quite to the pitch and it's wobbled away a fraction - enough to fly off the edge to the cordon where Tawanda Muyeye hangs on to a stinger.

  12. Currie back for Hamsphirepublished at 11:55 BST 3 September

    Hants v Warks 182-2

Scott Currie is in the attack for Hampshire now so they have both their injured bowlers back.

Like Kyle Abbott, Currie was off the field for much of day one with a damaged hand.

Hampshire will be relieved they didn't have to sub either of them because that would have ruled them out for the next game as well.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:54 BST 3 September

Mcann LBW Hull 17 (Notts 94-3)

Leicestershire have their first bowling point as Freddie Mcann is trapped LBW by Josh Hull.

Hull bowls a very full delivery to Mcann, which surely would've hit middle stump. He gets a small bit of away swing, but Mcann tried to turn the straight delivery into the on-side.

    A disappointing dismissal for Nottinghamshire.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:51 BST 3 September

Ackermann run out 11 (Northants v Durham 194-7)

    Hmmmmmm.

Colin Ackermann goes back and whacks Yuzvendra Chahal out to James Sales at mid-off.

Sales gathers and hurls and collects the stumps at the non-striker's end where Ackermann is running towards.

It's tight but he short. Great work from Sales. Poor run really.

Durham lose another and in danger of making a bit of a milk-based oat drink of this innings from a decent position.

600 first-class wickets for Jamie Porter. I do feel like he should have had a crack at Test level. Well done Jamie.

    Glen, Colchester

An absolute ripper from Chahal to get Stokes. Almost an admission from Stokes as if to say 'what can I do with that one?'

    Martin, Darlington

  16. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 11:45 BST 3 September

    Gloucs 87-6 v Derbyshire

    Dropped catch... maybe.

Shoaib Bashir comes back into the attack and nearly makes an immediate breakthrough, and it was the set batter, James Bracey, who tried a cut a full delivery which turned away from him.

The potential chance was dropped by Brooke Guest behind the stumps, and Bashir thinks Bracey hit it.

  17. wicket

    Stokes b Chahal 14 (Northants v Durham 190-6)

    Stokes sent packing.

It's a fantastic delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal, who spun it a mile, Shane Warne stylee, from wide of the wicket and it's ripped through Ben Stokes' forward defensive prod.

That's turned like a hairpin. Brilliant.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:42 BST 3 September

    Thomas c Cooke b Hamza 59 (Somerset 114-1 v Glam 194)

Josh Thomas will not be putting this on his showreel as he takes a wild flat swipe in an attempt to cut from way outside off stump.

The edge has flown to Chris Cooke behind the stumps and Glam finally break what has been a very good opening partnership.

The opener may not be pleased with his dismissal but he can be content with his contribution.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:40 BST 3 September

    White c&b Lawes 0 (Surrey v Yorks 185)

All over for Yorkshire's first innings. A well taken low caught and bowled from Tom Lawes who finishes top wicket taker with four.

Dom Bess ends unbeaten on 44.

So eight partnerships scored just 36 runs between them while the other two added 149.

I’m gutted I can’t go watch Essex today. They should get Sam Cook in the England squad come on you Eagles.

    Ethan, London

Great to have County Championship back, but such a shame it's crowbarred into September. Don't understand why it can't continue during August while the Hundred is on. Every team would lose some players, I don't think it would massively distort the competition in anyone's favour.
