150 for Jordan Coxpublished at 18:08 BST 12 June

    Leics v Essex 285-3

Another ruthless straight drive off Alex Green beats the diving fielder and that's 150 for Jordan Cox.

His third 50 has taken 71 balls - almost as many as the first two - but Essex won't mind that as Cox's innings, supported by Tom Westley and now Matt Critchley, has put them in a strong position.

  2. Postpublished at 18:05 BST 12 June

    Lancashire 4-0 v Kent 178

Keaton Jennings gets off the mark with a boundary in the first over of the Lancashire innings from Matt Milnes, walking down the track and flicking to the square leg boundary for four.

  3. New ball brings immediate breakthroughpublished at 18:04 BST 12 June

    Durham 243-6 v Derbyshire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham batsman Graham Clark reached 50 in the 80th over and was on strike at the start of the next, with Derbyshire having taken the new ball.

Seconds later he was gone as he edged a Mohammad Abbas ball to Ben Aitchison at second slip - he made 51.

Clark had been patient. His 50 took 135 balls and included five boundaries.

Ollie Robinson, who has been out for form for about a year now, has just departed on 48, wafting at a ball from Aitchison down the legside. It was a great diving catch by keeper Brooke Guest.

  4. 250 runs

250 up for Somersetpublished at 18:03 BST 12 June

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 250-6

Archie Vaughan picks up a single into the legside and Somerset have a batting point.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:01 BST 12 June

    Robinson c Guest b Aitchison 48 (Durham 243-6 v Derbys)

The new ball does the job again for Derbyshire as Ollie Robinson leg glances Ben Aitchison and keeper Brooke Guest flies to his left to take a superb catch. He has three in the innings now and the visitors will now be feeling a whole lot better.

  6. Five-wicket haul for Kristian Clarkepublished at 18:01 BST 12 June

    Broad lbw b Clarke 0 (Northants 374-7 v Glos)

A good first day as a Gloucestershire player for Kristian Clarke...

The New Zealand seamer keeps one low, seaming in to hit Justin Broad on the pads and there wasn't too much doubt about that one.

Suddenly, the visitors are back in this - with Northamptonshire's hopes of a 450-plus total now looking more unlikely as Harry Conway comes out to the crease.

  7. dropped catch

Dropped catch at Leicesterpublished at 18:00 BST 12 June

    Leics v Essex 277-3

Sheridon Gumbs is on debut for Leicestershire, primarily for his batting - but they'd love him to have clung onto this chance and got rid of Jordan Cox.

Cox drives Rehan Ahmed uppishly to cover, but Gumbs is unable to hold on and that means the Essex batter remains at the crease with every opportunity of adding to the 147 runs he's already scored.

Leicestershire need wickets - and that was a decent chance to take one.

  8. Postpublished at 18:00 BST 12 June

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 245-6

Beautiful shot, Lewis Gregory. He crunches a perfect cover drive for four off Brett Hutton

No need to run those as they say. And neither Gregory nor Archie Vaughan bother.

    Overton lbw b O'Neill 0 (Nottinghamshire v Somerset 238-6)

Craig Overton is bowled for a duck for Somerset by Notts' Fergus O'NeillImage source, Shutterstock

Craig Overton is gone for a duck for Somerset.

Fergus O'Neill once again gets nice shape to swing it in and it catches Overton pretty much gun-barrel straight in front.

No arguments about that lbw from Overton, who almost looks to agree with the decision, and there will certainly be no century this time for him.

O'Neill now has three wickets and Notts have a second bowling point in the bag.

  10. 100 runs

100 partnership for Cox and Critchleypublished at 17:51 BST 12 June

    Leics v Essex 258-3

The second century stand of this Essex innings, with Matt Critchley scoring 66 of them and Jordan Cox now 137 not out at the other end.

Leicestershire have brought Rehan Ahmed back on for another spell, hoping the leg-spinner can repeat his wicket-taking effort at the start of this long, long session.

There are another 17 overs scheduled tonight.

  11. wicket

KENT ALL OUT FOR 178published at 17:50 BST 12 June

    Parkinson c Aspinwall b Livingstone 11 (Lancashire v Kent 178)

Five years away from the County Championship and a five-for on return for Liam Livingstone. Something poetic about that for the Lancashire man.

Matt Parkinson tries to smash it for six through the legside but it's down the throat of Tom Aspinwall on the boundary.

From 111-2 at tea, that's a pretty miserable collapse by Kent, who added just 67 runs for the last eight wickets.

Hats off to Lancashire though, who are in the driving seat now thanks in large part to Livingstone's 5-55 from 18 overs.

  12. Postpublished at 17:49 BST 12 June

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 235-5

Craig Overton is the new man in for Somerset and he has a nibble at one outside off from Brett Hutton but it beats the bat.

Overton has been doing well with the bat so far this season though, with a century at Sussex last time out in the Championship.

  13. 150 runs

150 for Luxtonpublished at 17:49 BST 12 June

    Yorkshire 349-4 v Warwickshire

A maiden first class century becomes a maiden 150 for Will Luxton as he runs a Keith Barker delivery onto the off side for two.

He's faced 251 balls now and looks set in to bat through the day.

A couple of balls later he dispatches a wide delivery to the boundary.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:48 BST 12 June

    Clark c Aitchison b Abbas 51 (Durham 239-5 v Derbys)

The new ball does the trick for Derbyshire as Graham Clark edges Mohammad Abbas to second slip in the over after reaching 50 with a boundary off Shoaib Bashir.

He hit five fours in his 137-ball knock and added 83 with Ollie Robinson, who is 48 not out.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:46 BST 12 June

    Alsop c Ingram b van der Gugten 10 (Sussex 108-2 v Glamorgan 155)

A wicket straight after the re-start as Tom Alsop hangs the bat out to dry and edges Timm van der Gugten to Colin Ingram at first slip.

Jack Leaning comes out at number four.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:46 BST 12 June

    Bartlett lbw b Clarke 8 (Northants 366-6 v Glos)

    Fourth wicket for Kristian Clarke!

The Gloucestershire debutant has replicated what he did this morning, picking up two quick wickets with the new ball as he nips one back to hit George Bartlett on the pads.

Clarke had an optimistic lbw appeal turned down earlier in the over, but this one always looked far more convincing.

Next in for the home side is Justin Broad, with nine overs remaining tonight.

  17. 6 runs

Bairstow hits outpublished at 17:45 BST 12 June

    Yorkshire 339-4 v Warwickshire

Johnny Bairstow is keen to attack despite coming up against some testing bowling from Ethan Bamber.

The bowler has caused problems with some swing but Bairstow has launched him for the second six of the day.

  18. Postpublished at 17:44 BST 12 June

    Sussex 108-1 v Glamorgan 155

Thankfully, the bad light hold-up was brief.

Sussex resume with Daniel Hughes 40 not out and Tom Alsop on 10.

    Hermann b O'Neill 106 (Nottinghamshire v Somerset 234-5)

Jordan Hermann is bowled by Fergus O'NeillImage source, Shutterstock

    Big, big wicket for Nottinghamshire!

It's a real beauty from Fergus O'Neill as he gets one to bend in viciously and it beats the defence of Jordan Hermann to clatter into off stump.

After five-and-a-half hours at the crease, Hermann goes for an excellent 106.

That century could yet prove to be vital for Somerset. A great knock.

  20. Postpublished at 17:43 BST 12 June

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 231-4

Big appeal from the Notts fielders as Fergus O'Neill catches Archie Vaughan on the pads in front. But it looks like there was an inside edge.

    Not out the right call.
