    Lancashire v Kent 116-5

Lancashire hadn't taken a wicket for 165 balls and then took three wickets in three balls.

This game, eh? Silly sometimes, isn't it?

  3. 250 runs

250 up for Yorkshirepublished at 16:24 BST 12 June

    Yorkshire 255-3 v Warwickshire

More frustration for Warwickshire and Ethan Bamber in particular,

The bowler finds the edge of Will Luxton and the balls flies at catchable height in between wicket keeper Davies and Yates at slip. Neither moves.

  4. Postpublished at 16:23 BST 12 June

    Sussex 39-0 v Glamorgan 155

    Nearly.

Tom Haines gets a leading edge off Tom Norton and the ball just clears Kiran Carlson at mid-off.

One run for the Sussex skipper, who keeps the strike and dabs the first ball of the next over from Timm van der Gugten for four.

  5. dropped catch

Dropped catch at Leicesterpublished at 16:23 BST 12 June

    Leics v Essex 161-3

So nearly two wickets in successive overs for Rehan Ahmed...

Matt Critchley drives at his fellow leg-spinner, who flings himself to his right and gets a hand to the ball but can't hold on.

Critchley then takes advantage of that let-off by pulling the next ball to the fence, but Leicestershire will be encouraged all the same by the way Rehan is creating chances.

    Durham 187-4 v Derbys

Mohammad Abbas puts his hands on his head - he can't believe it.

A loose cover drive by Ollie Robinson flies off the edge wide of second slip and away for four.

The final session of play is under way.

  7. Postpublished at 16:20 BST 12 June

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 176-4

Thomas Rew might have gone but Jordan Hermann is looking to carry on from where he left off before tea for Somerset.

Hermann crashes a lovely cover drive for four off Liam Patterson-White before slapping one away for a single into the offside.

    He moves onto 73*.

    Yorkshire 249-3 v Warwickshire

The final session of the day has started at North Marine Road.

Ethan Bamber has been the unluckiest Warwickshire bowler and beat the bat again two balls into the re start.

But two balls later Will Luxton clipped him for four to move onto 108.

  9. It remains a slow day in CLSpublished at 16:18 BST 12 June

    Durham 182-4 v Derbyshire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Progress with the bat has been sedate from a Durham point of view. But it's the sort of slow and sticky track where you need to be watchful.

Only two wickets fell in the afternoon session, with Will Rhodes caught behind off Ben Aitchison for 34, while David Bedingham departed for 49, caught behind off Martin Andersson. The ball which got him didn't half swing late.

Ollie Robinson and Graham Clark have taken Durham to tea but they have been cautious, with the odd ball misbehaving. There's been quite a bit of low bounce and the pitch is very green.

Thankfully the rain, which has been threatening in the last half hour, has passed by. Hopefully we'll get a full day in.

A wicket-maiden for Mohammad Ali, who struck the knockout blow on Thomas Rew's innings at the start of it.

Archie Vaughan is the new man at the crease and manages to block out the rest of the over.

    Lancashire v Kent 113-5

What a bonkers start we've had to this evening session.

Kent came out after tea at 111-2. Now they're 113-5. Major rebuild needed now from Ekansh Singh and Bertie Foreman.

Ruthless display with the ball from Lancashire. How many sugars did they have in those cuppas?!

  12. Postpublished at 16:14 BST 12 June

    Lancashire v Kent 111-5

Bertie Foreman is whacked on the pads by Tom Bailey for the hat-trick ball but it's too high and going down leg and the onslaught of wickets stops. For now...

    Westley c Kelly b Rehan Ahmed 41 (Leics v Essex 155-3)

Second ball after tea and Rehan Ahmed makes the breakthrough for Leicestershire!

It's not the greatest delivery from the leg-spinner, but the Foxes won't care - it's short and pulled straight to midwicket by Tom Westley.

The partnership of 147 with Jordan Cox comes to an end and Matt Critchley is walking out to the middle for Essex.

Mohammad Ali celebrates the wicket of Thomas RewImage source, Shutterstock

Thomas Rew's fine innings comes to an end as Mohammad Ali traps him in front.

A solid knock by the 18-year-old but he's removed shortly after tea and Ali has his first wicket in English red-ball cricket on his County Championship debut.

  15. wicket

    Benjamin b Bailey 0 (Lancashire v Kent 111-5)

Team hat-trick!!! Kent are completely collapsing here.

Tom Bailey clean bowls Chris Benjamin for a golden duck as he beats the bat and finds the top of off peg.

And now Bailey is on a hat-trick of his own...

  16. Postpublished at 16:12 BST 12 June

    Sussex 20-0 v Glamorgan 155

    Unlucky.

Timm van der Gugten induces a big edge from Daniel Hughes but the ball doesn't carry to first and second slip who are unable to prevent it bisecting them and running away for four.

    Dawkins lbw b Bailey 54 (Lancashire v Kent 111-4)

Two wickets in two balls for Lancashire!

First ball of the Tom Bailey over and he's trapped Ben Dawkins in front.

And just like that, Kent have gone from looking settled at 111-2 - with two batters in Dawkins and Daniel Bell-Drummond with their eye in - to 111-4.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:08 BST 12 June

    Bell-Drummond c Moores b Anderson 33 (Lancashire v Kent 111-3)

Jimmy Anderson strikes in the first over after tea!

Daniel Bell-Drummond has a nibble outside off stump and nicks off to Joe Moores behind the stumps.

Bell-Drummond did not want to walk and looks disappointed as he trudges off but Lancashire bring to an end what was looking to be a decent partnership for Kent.

  19. Luxton rewarded for responsible inningspublished at 16:07 BST 12 June

    Yorkshire 238-3 v Warwickshire - tea

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Will Luxton raised his maiden first-class hundred shortly before tea, easing any tension that had built as his rate of scoring slowed down by sweeping Manav Suthar into the benches on the North Marine Road side of the ground for six.

He had played very responsibly through the afternoon to ensure Yorkshire would not waste their good start.

Sam Whiteman shared a 90-run stand for the second wicket, driving attractively through the covers for several boundaries before becoming Suthar’s first wicket in England, beaten on the legside after advancing to allow Alex Davies to effect a stumping.

A few minutes later Davies took a fine catch far to his left after James Wharton touched an outswinger from Ed Barnard.

Warwickshire plugged away throughout the session, still finding swing and some turn, but were unable to build sustained pressure and occasional misfields were an irritation.

Luxton now has the chance to cement Yorkshire’s strong position on what is already a significant day in his young career.

I'm going to put it out there ludicrously early but I'm backing the Rew boys to be cricket's equivalent to the Charltons and both play for a successful England in the next few years.

    Tom, North Wales

Mentioned it last week that Cox should always have been in the Eng team. Great batter and fielder and can WK. Is Smith really the way forward?
