    HT: Ireland 19-5 Japan

    What an opening 40 minutes.

Two tries from the powerful Brittany Hogan and a pacy score by Beibhinn Parsons sees Ireland ahead by 14 points at the break.

However, an impressive late score by Moe Nagaoka keeps the visitors in the game.

Whilst there were some impressive scores and moments, there were also some scrappy passages in the first half, so there'll be lots to reflect on in the changing rooms ahead of a big second half.
