There is sort of this running dialogue between Novak Djokovic and his team. I don't think it is doing his concentration any good. It isn't what we normally see on the biggest stage from him.

At the other end, we are seeing some great hitting from the back of the court from Felix Auger-Aliassime.

This has been such a rollercoaster set.

From taking early control of it, Novak Djokovic is really struggling with his emotions.

He barely makes Felix Auger-Aliassime work for a hold to love.

Haha Gus at 21:02 must be a massive fan. He comes no way near the greatest athlete of all time. Most grand slams in tennis? Yes, but Federer is the best ever if you look at the things he can do and Rafa has the greatest mentality in the sport. Djokovic is mentally great and has the consistency.

Djokovic's customary accuracy is deserting him on occasion.

A wild forehand brings up 40-30 - but Felix Auger-Aliassime cannot take us to deuce as he nets a backhand.

A hold of serve but not a convincing one - and Djokovic is chuntering to himself a lot.

  5. 'Roof closed has allowed Djokovic more time on ball'published at 21:17 BST 7 July

We spoke about how Novak Djokovic got on the attack at the end of the third set, but his forehand quality and ball-striking also improved. It is special when you have the ability to do that to change a match.

The roof being closed has allowed him more time on the ball to get the racquet head speed up and feel more comfortable with it. If you're a good ball-striker and you can find the middle of the racquet, these conditions are easier.

There's a new bounce in Felix Auger-Aliassime's step - and there has been for a few games now.

A bit to puzzle over for Novak Djokovic because his opponent is back ahead 4-3 in this fourth set.

Novak Djokovic is a bit rattled here.

He demands a video replay of an Auger-Aliassime serve that is shown to have easily hit the service box line.

The Canadian, perhaps affronted by that, slams down another ace for good measure for a comfortable hold.

  8. Djokovic stops the rotpublished at 21:10 BST 7 July

    *Auger-Aliassime 6-7 (10-12) 6-3 3-6 3-3 Djokovic

A brilliant wrong-footing forehand from seven-time Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic sets up two game points - and he crushes an ace down the T to complete the formality.

The Serb stops his losing streak at three games.

You've got to love Felix Auger-Aliassime! He is enjoying his Wimbledon far too much for it to end just yet.

He has turned the early stages of this fourth set right around.

Canada have never had a men's singles Grand Slam champion... he will know that.

    *Auger-Aliassime 6-7 (10-12) 6-3 3-6 3-2 Djokovic

    Felix is flying.

Some big serves there in a massive moment helped him recover from a sticky situation.

From 0-2 down to 3-2 up in a set he has to win to stay in the tournament. Fortitude.

Oof. Felix Auger-Aliassime wins a rally he has no right to win with a superb delicate backhand around the net post.

And then a Djokovic double fault makes it 0-30. Turning point?

You could be a coach in the stands and tell a player to be more aggressive or come forward more, but Novak Djokovic is the rarest of players in that he can change and do so many things.

In this moment, he just stepped up his attack and he made no errors in doing it. He is taking risks and taking on each point.

Felix Auger-Aliassime shows he's not quite done yet.

An incredibly well-judged overhead from almost the baseline - after a looping Djokovic recovery - proves the poise is still there.

He had to hold that service game to have a chance of staying in this match - and he did.

Novak Djokovic now toying with his angry prey, a cheeky drop shot leaving Felix Auger-Aliassime flat-footed.

An almost nonchalant forehand winner into the corner of the court follows.

And, on the defence, he produces another similar superb strike, instinctive. Hold to love.
