England are in complete control of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord's and are likely to wrap up a series win on day four.

England were bowled out for 208 in their second innings, leaving Pakistan a victory target of 389.

Ollie Robinson and Jofra Archer have caused all sorts of damage again with the new ball and a short time ago Pakistan were 40-3.

  2. 'Attritional stuff at Hove'published at 13:12 BST 30 August

    Sussex 250 v Somerset 202 & 250-3

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

An attritional morning's cricket, as Somerset's batsmen have dug in against probing seam bowling from Unadkat, Hunt, Crocombe and Evison under cloudy skies.

The only wicket to fall was that of Tom Lammonby, LBW to Crocombe for a typically stylish 93, his highest Championship innings of the summer.

Jake Ball has been drafted into the Somerset side as a 'life event' replacement for Josh Shaw, whose partner gave birth to a baby boy on Sunday evening.

Somerset have probably done enough this morning to make the game safe, which was always likely to be the height of their ambition after the loss of yesterday's play.

  4. Division Two lunch updatepublished at 13:06 BST 30 August

Derbyshire are 19-1 at lunch in their second innings, after Middlesex opted to forfeit their first innings in pursuit of victory.

The lead is 150 but it's certainly been the visitors' day- taking 8-71 in the session after just 32.3 overs were possible across the opening three days.

Lunch too at New Road where Jake Libby is 43* in Worcestershire's 90-3, exactly halfway to Lancashire first innings total of 180.

  5. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 13:05 BST 30 August

    Northants 223-2 v Kent 345

For now, Northamptonshire still hold the advantage in terms of the fight for bonus points between these two promotion contenders.

They need another 27 runs for an extra point, while Kent need one wicket.

The one they'd really like is that of Ricardo Vasconcelos, who's 115 not out at the interval. Partner Nathan McSweeney has 36.

  6. Hampshire set Glamorgan 302 to winpublished at 13:05 BST 30 August

    Glamorgan 161 v Hampshire 162 & 300-8 dec

Confirmation that Hampshire have declared their second innings at the fall of that Andrew Neal wicket just before lunch.

Division One's bottom side will have two sessions to try to bowl out Glamorgan, who require 302 for victory.

  7. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:03 BST 30 August

    Sussex 250 v Somerset 202 & 250-3

Somerset's players will be satisfied with that morning session - other than Tom Lammonby, who missed out on the chance of a hundred when he was leg before to Henry Crocombe for 93.

Lammonby's was the only wicket to fall, though, and Somerset lead by 202 overall.

  8. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 13:03 BST 30 August

    Essex 279 v Surrey 183 & 132-6

Still advantage Essex as we reach lunch on day four at Chelmsford.

Simon Harmer and Jamie Porter have each taken a wicket during the morning session but Surrey have established a narrow lead of 36 runs.

Ben Foakes has made the most of the life given to him by Harmer's dropped caught-and-bowled chance, batting through the whole session for 34 not out.

  9. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:02 BST 30 August

    Glamorgan 161 v Hampshire 162 & 300-8

Hampshire added 176 runs in the morning session and with their lead now 301, surely a declaration will not be too far away against Glamorgan?

Toby Albert made 64 before Ben Brown made a quickfire 30, while Andrew Neal was dismissed just before lunch for 47 off 20 balls.

WICKET and lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:01 BST 30 August

    Mousley lbw b Pennington 20 (Warks 64-4 v Notts 325-8dec)

    And there's another!

Dillon Pennington from around the wicket in the final over of the morning sesion and gets one to jag back in and strike teh back pad of Dan Mousley.

The umpires has a good think before raising his finger.

That caps a great morning for the visitors and a slippery one for the hosts.

There was frustration from some at Nottinghamshire’s decision to declare at 325-8 and not go for further batting points.

But Olly Stone’s splendid opening seven-over spell of 3-22 has earned them a first bowling point and a second bonus point of the morning.

They will fancy another before any possible rain arrives.

  11. 50 runs

50 partnership for Nicholls and Abellpublished at 13:00 BST 30 August

    Sussex 250 v Somerset 202 & 250-3

Tom Abell whips Joey Evison off his pads for a boundary that not only raises the 50 partnership with Henry Nicholls, but more importantly lifts Somerset's lead above 200.

Not quite a position of safety just yet, but it'll take something special from the Sussex bowlers to force victory this afternoon.

  12. Postpublished at 12:59 BST 30 August

    Warks 64-3 v Notts 325-8dec

Full-on celeb appeal from Ben Martindale as Vansh Jani leaves an inswinger and is struck on the pad. Nothing doing from the umps.

    Jani got outside the line.

You can't blame the lad for trying as he hunts his maiden first-class wicket.

Seriously what's Warwickshire follow on target

    John, Edgbaston

They need 112 more runs, with seven wickets in hand, to avoid the follow-on. Impressive levels of pessimism though, John.

    Warks 64-3 v Notts 325-8dec

Dan Mousley drives a straight ball from Fraser Shear back down the ground for his second four.

Dillon Pennington is back in the attack as Olly Stone takes a well-earned breather after his burst of 3-22.

Vansh Jani cuts into the offside for three and then almost nibbles at a tempter outside off stump from the former Worcestershire quick.

Ben Martindale to replace Sheat before lunch.

Ben Foakes and Adam Thomas have nudged Surrey's lead up to 22 with a seventh-wicket partnership that is currently worth 26 runs.

Very important for Surrey that these two make it to lunch without further loss.

  16. Postpublished at 12:51 BST 30 August

    Sussex 250 v Somerset 202 & 242-3

All of a sudden, the sun is out - which looked extremely unlikely around 20 minutes ago - and that should probably be good news for the batting side.

It's been gritty from Somerset for most of the morning, but they've managed to stretch their lead to almost 200 for only the loss of Tom Lammonby.

Henry Nicholls has 41 and Tom Abell 22 as Sussex call on spinner Jack Carson for a couple of pre-lunch overs at the Cromwell Road End.

  17. Division Two updatepublished at 12:51 BST 30 August

Middlesex's decision to forfeit their first innings isn't looking too bad right now.

Toby Roland-Jones has struck in the third over, pinning Harry Came lbw, and Derbyshire are 6-1.

Have to respect their decision to go for the win.

At New Road Rehaan Edavalath has fallen for 42, also lbw, to George Balderson, who has bowled Adam Hose for nought two balls later.

The Pears are now 87-3 in reply to Lancs' 180.

    Glamorgan 161 v Hampshire 162 & 258-7

Looking to get on with things, Ben Brown strolls down the pitch but chips a return catch straight back to Ben Kellaway, who now has three wickets in Hampshire's second innings.

Make that four! James Fuller is trapped plumb lbw first ball and off-spinner Kellaway is on a hat-trick...

Who said Warks Notts would be a draw? The way we are batting we so could easily be bowled out twice in a day. Where's the rain?

    John, Edgbaston

Given the bonus point situation, would Warwickshire have given thought to declaring with 2 down?
