    Florian Wirtz (68 mins)

Florian Wirtz is in on the act!

So much better from Liverpool as Cody Gakpo plays it to Wirtz in the box, he takes a touch and fires into the bottom corner with his left foot.

It's his first goal for the Reds since April.

It's all Rio Ngumoha. What a talent.

Sergi Cardona has not been able to cope with him all evening and Liverpool have turned this around.

Andoni Iraola and Alexander Isak share a hug on the touchline and Anfield breathes a sigh of relief.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:26 BST

    Liverpool 3-2 Villarreal

Liverpool also bring on Alexander Isak for Lewis Koumas.

    Alexis Mac Allister (65 mins)

    Comeback = complete.

Rio Ngumoha has been unplayable tonight and he carves the Villarreal defence wide open again on that right side.

He picks out the run of Alexis Mac Allister, who finishes off the bar.

    Phil Foden (66 mins)

    Now it's four!

Manchester City are barely breaking sweat but Rico Lewis makes a brilliant run to get on the end of Rayan Cherki's ball.

He knocks it back for Phil Foden and it's a sumptuous curling strike into the top corner from the man who had not scored for 10 months before this week.

    What a finish.

    Paris St-Germain 1-1 Barcelona

PSG have just conceded an equaliser and more bad news for the European champions as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is injured and looks in a bad way as he is he helped off the field by two members of the PSG medical staff.

Ousmane Dembele had to go off after only 20 minutes after also picking up an injury.

  8. CLOSE!published at 21:22 BST

    Man City 3-1 AEK Athens

    Should be four!

A lovely ball across the six-yard box from Allan and Ryan McAidoo's first action is almost to tap in at the back post but a brilliant piece of defending from AEK goalscorer Stavros Pilios keeps the deficit to two.

  9. CLOSE!published at 21:22 BST

    Liverpool 2-2 Villarreal

Lewis Koumas must think he's about to head Liverpool in front but Kostas Tsimikas' ball across goal has too much on it.

Should be doing better there, the left-back.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:21 BST

    Man City 3-1 AEK Athens

Now Manchester City turn to the bench.

Floyd Samba makes way for another youngster, Ryan McAidoo.

Cherki is ridiculous. You just don’t see players doing what he can do. The touch, the finish - sensational.

  17. Postpublished at 21:18 BST

    Xavi Espart (Barcelona)

Nineteen-year-old full-back Xavi Espart has made it 1-1 at the Parc des Princes. He makes a superb run forwards, has the pace to stay ahead of the PSG defence and his shot is too powerful for home keeper Matvei Safonov.
