Wales' Ruby Evans, speaking to TNT Sports, after winning gold in women's floor: "I’m really happy and pleased that it’s done. I feel like I came out here angry. I definitely knew I wanted to medal but I got gold and I’m really happy for myself.

    GOLD FOR RUBY EVANS!

What a way to end her games!

Team Wales' Ruby Evans saved her best until last - as the final competitor in the floor exercise final - a discipline in which she won a world silver medal in 2025 - the 19-year-old was in her element.

Oh, and the sparkly leotard colour? A very bright, and yes, very sparkly, Welsh daffodil yellow!

England's Abi Martin takes silver on 13.333 with her team-mate Shantae-Eve Amankwaah - at the age of just 17 - securing bronze.

A home nations podium but it's Wales and Evans who will stand atop it.

Galactico Gareth Bale, Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas and British and Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton always get a mention.
