It's been 94 balls without a boundary and then Shadab Khan goes, enough is enough.

He shimmies down the wicket, and it is swatted down the ground.

  2. Pak 121-6published at 27.4 overs

    Where has this come from?

A baseball shot from Shadab Khan midway through the over as he wallops Jamie Overton back over his head with cross-batted thwack.

    Pakistan's first boundary.... for ages.

Overton responds with an absolute peach which beats the outside edge.

It feels like Liam Dawson is going to get Shadab Khan out at some stage here.

England left-arm spinner Liam Dawson whirls away under the lights at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Each dot ball representing a small victory in this battle of wills.

He accumulates a couple before offering a little bit of air with the final delivery of the over to Shadab Khan but he cautiously punches it to the fielder and takes the strike.

Dawson has 1-9 from four overs so far.

England are on fire. They are whizzing the ball around. They have a real buzz about them which we didn't see in the previous game.

  6. Pak 110-6published at 26 overs

Jamie Overton is in a long spell, by modern standards, as he sends down his eighth consecutive over.

Just two runs off it and Overton has 2-27. Handy figures for an ODI.

Incredible how many seasoned cricket fans forget the golden rule: make judgements on the batting after both teams have been in.

  9. Pak 108-6published at 25 overs

Liam Dawson continues and a chipped sweep from Salman Agha, who is still there, lands safe square of the wicket.

Shadab Khan attempts a reverse sweep but picks out a fielder. Dawson is creating some theatre with his hands on his head, knowing he might have been in business for an lbw had he missed.

Another tight over. Just two runs off it.

Pakistan need 134 runs from 25 overs.

It looks like England's innings was not as poor as everyone thought earlier.

  11. Pak 103-6published at 24 overs

Shadab Khan is the new batter - he gets off the mark with a mistimed pull which dribbles to mid-wicket.

The bounce does it and the struggle to ride the bounce for Arafat Minhas.

The field was set for it, and he just couldn't ride the bounce. Joe Root takes the simplest of catches.

Play it again, Sam... The Penygarn predictor.

Arafat Minhas attempts to shuffle Jamie Overton down the leg side but sends it into the hands of Joe Root at a wide slip/leg gully.

England have two quick wickets and are right back in this.

If England can go back-to-back wickets here, then it's game on! Hopefully, we're in for a thrilling finale.

    Sam, Penygarn

Pakistan can win this with low-risk batting. Ones and twos gets the job done as long as they don't lose wickets.

    David, Bradford

  16. Pak 103-5published at 23 overs

Liam Dawson takes his cap back off the umpire pretty pleased with himself.

A fair of batting to come for Pakistan but that is a big breakthrough for England.

Ugly from Hasan Nawaz. You could sense something was happening.

Pakistan were so desperate to get on with it. Liam Dawson tempts him into playing a slog sweep.

Scoreboard pressure has done it for England here in Lahore.

Hasan Nawaz's patience runs out and England's pressure pays off!

The Pakistan batter attempts a big heave-ho across the line and ends up sending a leading edge skywards.

Harry Brook waits an age for it to come down with snow on at mid-off but comfortably takes the catch when it arrives.

A good little period of squeezing here from England.

For Pakistan, Hasan Nawaz looks to be the aggressor, but even he has had to suck up this pressure from the bowlers.

  20. Pak 101-4published at 22 overs

Jamie Overton retains his focus and concentration during another tight over. Pakistan do not have to go berserk here.

A single apiece off the over for Salman Agha and Hasan Nawaz.

The partnership between these two is worth 27 off 61 balls.
