    Comesana 6-3 6-2 3-5 Cobolli*

Flavio Cobolli won't get a fifth chance as Francisco Comesana holds on to force the Italian to serve out the third set...

Cobolli has to put that frustration behind him and put his whole focus on this service game. A break back now could be devastating for the fifth seed.

    *Comesana 6-3 6-2 2-5 Cobolli

Flavio Cobolli had two set points there but Francisco Comesana comes up with the goods to stop him, with winners at the net.

But here's a third set point for the Italian... Nope, he can't get that one either as he fires wide.

Cobolli patiently builds his way through the next point, slowly advancing to the net and ending the rally with a backhand volley winner.

Set point number four is no good and the fifth seed throws his racquet down in frustration. On we go...

    That was a tough one.

Keys runs hard and is always looking for that streak where she blows players away.

She had a couple of moments where she gave a couple of errors away but she pulled herself back and we've talked about her maturity - instead of letting two, three, four games go, she gets back in it in the next game.

Madison Keys has been made to work for it by Alina Korneeva, failing to capitalise on 3-0 and 5-3 leads in the first set and wasting two match points in the second, but she's got the job done.

The American 22nd seed advances to round two with a 7-5 6-4 victory, letting out a scream of relief as Korneeva's final forehand flies wide.

    Keys 7-5 5-4 Korneeva*

Oh, it's all going horribly wrong for Madison Keys.

So many nerves on display from the American.

    *Keys 7-5 5-3 Korneeva

A huge stroke of fortune for Madison Keys!

Keys holds her hands up in apology.

    Keys 7-5 4-3 Korneeva*

Dear, oh dear. Madison Keys is making this hard for herself with error after error after error.

Up 40-0 on serve, she plays loose groundstrokes either side of a double fault to surrender her lead.

There's another forehand error at advantage before Alina Korneeva breaks in the second deuce with a forehand volley into an open court.

Keys is her own worst enemy at the moment but credit to Korneeva for sticking in the points and making her play the extra shot.

  14. Keys breaks to take commanding leadpublished at 17:54 BST 1 September

    Keys 7-5 4-1 Korneeva*

Facing a break point, Alina Korneeva puts too much air on a drop shot and Madison Keys charges in for the forehand winner.

Down 0-30, Keys' first serve clicks into gear, including an ace down the T on game point.

She had similar leads in the first set (3-0 and 5-3) but was frustrated by the young Russian. Can Korneeva make things difficult again for the home favourite?

  20. Game and first set - Keyspublished at 17:34 BST 1 September

    *Keys 7-5 0-0 Korneeva

An error-strewn game from Alina Korneeva gifts Madison Keys two set points.

The American wastes them both, putting a down-the-line forehand into the tramlines before sending a backhand long out of nowhere.

A blistering backhand pass brings up set point number three and this time, Keys makes no mistake, smacking monstrous strokes from the baseline until Korneeva eventually goes long.

Keys probably didn't expect that opening set to take 50 minutes after breezing into a 3-0 lead but she's got it over the line.
