A woman arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a baby girl has been bailed and detained in hospital under the Mental Health Act for psychological assessment, police have said.

Officers were called to a property at Oxford Way, Cambourne, at about 07:40 BST on 10 October to reports of concern for a woman and baby.

Cambridgeshire Police said both were taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, but the baby was declared dead shortly after arrival.

A police spokesperson said: "The post-mortem was inconclusive so we are awaiting further tests."
