Police have launched an investigation following an unexplained death in Spalding

A 58-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a property in Spalding has been released with no further action, police said.

Lincolnshire Police said the woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered at an address in Gaunt Close on Monday evening, with officers initially treating the death as unexplained.

In an update, police said a file had been prepared for the coroner and the death was not being treated as suspicious.

"Our thoughts are with her loved ones as they come to terms with their loss," a spokesperson added.
