My decorations are up two months before Christmas
Becky Evans / BeckyHomeSweetHomeAccountWith Halloween just days away, it is no surprise to see people's houses covered in fake cobwebs and guarded by ghoulish creatures.
But Becky Evans, from Suffolk, is bucking the scary and spooky trend in favour of celebrating an altogether different holiday two months early.
"I am Christmas crazy. I love what it's about - the build-up, how it makes you feel, and I actually start [around] 100 days before Christmas, so the decks are up," said the 48-year-old from Felixstowe.
"It is in full swing, with shopping, decorations, lights and films – it's never too early."
Becky Evans / BeckyHomeSweetHomeAccountEvans, who joked she lived with her "poor husband" and two children, started the trend of putting up her Christmas decorations early about eight years ago.
She set up a social media page with her love of all things festive, and her daily "countdown to Christmas" posts have gained her more than 100,000 followers.
"Last year I started on 4 October, so this year I'm actually a little bit late as I started on Friday," said Evans.
"I just love Christmas and I go very extra, but if you can't go extra at Christmas, when can you go extra? My house, my rules."
Becky Evans / BeckyHomeSweetHomeAccountOver the years, Evans, whose five grandchildren "love" her Christmas cheer, said she had spent "a lot of money's worth" on decorations.
She has so many, in fact, she has had to convert her summer house into Christmas storage space.
Evans also used to go as big on the outside of her home as she did on the inside, but decided to "scale it back" over the years for her neighbours' sake.
Becky Evans / BeckyHomeSweetHomeAccountHer home is decorated with everything from cedar garlands to miniature festive houses, animals and ornaments, to twinkling lights and glittering baubles.
This year her home will have three full-sized Christmas trees and each room decorated in a different theme, with the colours matching the wrapping paper.
"Christmas just gives you a fuzzy feeling that you can't explain, it's just magical," Evans added.
"My house makes me smile from ear-to-ear every time I walk in."
