Rowdy Halloween party with 'drunk teens' shut down
PA MediaA rowdy Halloween house party with more than 200 teenagers has been closed down by police after fireworks were set off towards other houses.
Lancashire Police said there was "extremely loud music" and many of the children were drunk at the party at a property in Whittle-le-Woods.
The force said it believed cannabis had been smoked and at one point the homeowner barricaded the front door to stop more teenagers getting in.
Three children were arrested at the scene as 10 officers tried to restore order while projectiles were thrown at them.
Police said there were three adults at the property and one child was injured and taken to hospital with non-serious injuries.
Officers earlier appealed on social media for parents to come and collect their children.
Police said the gathering was closed down "due to a breach of the peace" and "fireworks had been set off towards a nearby house".
A force spokesman said: "One of the doors to the house had been barricaded, we later found out by the actual homeowner who wanted the children out of the house.
"The music at the premise was extremely loud and disturbing the peace of nearby residents."
The Lancashire force said one of the arrested children was de-arrested and taken home, another held on suspicion of possessing cannabis and a third on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
