The search for a woman who went missing 10 days ago is now focussing on the Lytham, St Annes, Fairhaven, Blackpool and Fylde coast areas of Lancashire, police have said.

Eren Wright, 29, was last seen at about 10:00 GMT on 27 October on St David's Road South in Lytham.

She is described as white, 5ft 7in (1.7m) tall, slim, with blonde hair and tattoos of vines and a tree on her hand and arm.

Detectives said there had been "a lot of speculation and conversation online about Eren being missing" and they urged people to refrain from speculating about the case.

"Eren is a real person and has a lot of people who love her," they said.

"This is a very difficult time for them and online speculation does not help them."

The force said officers had made numerous inquiries locally and outside of Lancashire – in particular Southport on Merseyside and Wigan in Greater Manchester.

"However, if information comes in linking Eren to other areas, we will investigate," a spokesman said.

Eren was last seen wearing a light olive green hoodie with a painting on the front, beige or cream wide-leg trousers and worn white trainers.
