Some council-owned car parks in South Kesteven will offer free parking in the run- up to Christmas.

There will be no charges at the Wharf Road multi-storey in Grantham between 30 November and Christmas Eve.

Stamford's Cattle Market car park will be free from Monday to Thursday during the same period, South Kesteven District Council said.

Councillor Richard Cleaver said: "This will make trips to our town centres more affordable for residents and shoppers at this expensive time of year and also support our town centre retailers and hospitality venues."
