Items including six mobile phones have been seized after a police search operation in the west Belfast area on Thursday.

The items were seized from two properties by the Police Service of Northern Ireland's (PSNI) Terrorism Investigation Unit in connection with a wider investigation into right-wing extremism.

Police said the items that were seized on Thursday will now be taken away for further forensic examination.

On Wednesday, the PSNI also said an investigation into explosive devices discovered in Belfast at the weekend is linked to "extreme right-wing terrorism".

The PSNI have appealed to anyone with any information that could assist with their investigation to contact them.
