A rugby club in the region has reported its most commercially successful season in a decade after delivering a record turnover of £26.9m.

Northampton Saints said turnover increased by £3.4m for the year ending June 2026, compared with the previous year.

Announcing its financial results on Tuesday, the club said the success was driven by strong ticket, retail and hospitality sales, as well as success on the pitch.

Club chairwoman Ella Bevan described the results as "one of the club's strongest financial performances in recent memory".

The club said it recorded a pre-tax profit of £200,000, while net assets rose to £23.4m. Its cash balance also increased to £9m.

Bevan said: "A combination of sustained record levels of England EPS representation, additional home knockout fixtures, the successful staging of Women's Rugby World Cup fixtures at DPD Stadium at Franklin's Gardens, and continued growth across our commercial activities all contributed to this outstanding result."

She said ticketing, hospitality and retail had performed particularly strongly, while corporate events and non-rugby business continued to build momentum.

Bevan added: "While we take great encouragement from these results, we remain focused on the work still to be done."

She said the priorities are to continue growing revenues and maintaining financial discipline as well as investing in the DPD Stadium.

In June, the club held a parade through the town after winning another Prem title - a victory described by fans as "electric".
