Man in 60s dies in flat fire
BBCA man in his 60s has died in a fire at a flat in Greater Manchester, police have said.
Emergency services were called to Baguley Crescent, Middleton, at about 14:45 GMT on Saturday.
The man died at the scene and his next of kin has been informed, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said.
Neighbour Ian Walsh told the BBC: "The firefighters managed to get him out and then they did CPR on him outside the flat."

"There was a lot of smoke. We are all shocked," he added.
The 73-year-old said crews including paramedics and an air ambulance tried to save the man.
"It's very sad and bewildering that he died.
"You don't expect it to happen opposite you. There were forensics here and all sorts," he said.
Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "I know they managed to get him out and they tried to save him.
"I saw the air ambulance arrive. It's devastating that he died."
The force added that investigations into the incident were ongoing.
