Man jailed for sex offences against child
Cleveland PoliceA 21-year-old man has been jailed for child sex offences after incriminating videos were found on a youth's phone.
Cleveland Police said they were alerted to the footage in June by what they described as a concerned third-party, with Alby Hunt arrested the following day.
Hunt, from Stockton, later admitted causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual activity with a child and attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
Appearing at Teesside Crown Court earlier, he was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison.
In a statement released at the conclusion of the case, Det Con Anna Liddle said the "vulnerable young victim was initially fearful and reluctant to speak" with officers and other professionals.
However, the youngster "showed great bravery in engaging with all the services and in providing us with evidence so we were able to secure charges", she said.
Hunt's details will be on the sex offender register and he will subject to restrictions and monitoring upon his release from jail.
