Two arrests after man stabbed outside house

Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed outside a house in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man in his 20s was stabbed in Windermere Drive in Worcester at around 06:00 GMT, West Mercia Police said.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody.

Det Insp Mel Reynolds said she appreciated that "incidents of this nature can be concerning for those living nearby."

She added: "At this stage, we believe those involved were known to each other, and there is currently nothing to suggest a wider risk to the community.

"You will continue to see officers in the area throughout today as we carry out enquiries and speak to local residents."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the force.
