A woman has died in hospital several weeks after crashing into a number of parked cars, police say.

Kent Police says the woman, in her 70s, drove her black Ford Fiesta into three parked cars shortly after 16:00 BST on 1 September, in Island Road in Sturry, near Canterbury.

A force spokesperson said the woman had been taken to a London hospital for treatment, but her condition deteriorated and she died on 15 October.

All of the parked cars involved in the crash were unattended at the time, police say. The force is investigating and is appealing for witnesses.
