Distinctive outfit could be key to shooting, police say

Police investigating a shooting in Liverpool have released images of a person whose distinctive high-visibility clothing and bag might help to identify them.

The appeal comes after reports a gun was fired on Trefoil Close, Toxteth at about 13:20 BST on 23 September. No injuries or damage were reported, Merseyside Police said.

Detectives have released images of the person wearing a bright orange high-visibility jacket and trousers, a black balaclava, black gloves and black bag.

"Although the image does not show the person's face, we think the distinctive clothing and bag may jog someone's memory," Det Insp Chris Clark from the Firearms Investigation Team said.

"You may have seen them in the area or be familiar with them from their clothing and build. Please come forward as soon as possible if so."

Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information is asked to contact police.
