Radio presenter's 'wobbles' over Children in Need cycling challenge
BBCRadio presenter Owain Wyn Evans has voiced fears about his upcoming challenge to cycle through all four UK nations for Children in Need.
The host of BBC Radio 2's Early Breakfast Show admitted he has had "wobbles", adding: "I just don't feel like it's a thing I'm able to do."
It will see him travel almost 400 miles (643km), setting off from Glasgow and finishing in Cardiff, and is the greatest distance anyone has covered in a Radio 2 fundraising challenge.
With just 19 days to go before he is due to set off, he told colleague Sara Cox on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Wednesday he was "so not ready".
Sports scientist Prof Greg Whyte has been supporting him on the run-up to the bike ride.
He also helped Cox on her Great Northern Marathon Challenge in 2025.

Evans, who is originally from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, said: "When I think about what I need to do, you know, 400 miles, four nations over the space of four or five days, I just don't feel like it's a thing I'm able to do."
Cox recommended he take it a day at a time, but warned the weather had "taken a slight turn".
Evans said: "It's been pouring down here and also quite cold to be honest, quite chilly. So that's the thing that I know it was the same with your challenge, Sara, right?
"You try and get as ready as you can and there are certain things you can control, but the weather certainly isn't something we can control."
After riding through Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales, Evans' journey will end in central Cardiff on 13 November.
Cox said: "Just keep pedalling, that's all you've got to do, and you will do it."
