Watch: Thieves trash egg-vending machine with crowbar

CCTV footage shows the moment balaclava-clad crooks armed with a crowbar caused thousands of pounds of damage as they broke into a farm's egg-vending machine in Suffolk.

The thieves spent at least three minutes trying to force open the door of the Egg Shed and Vending Machine, at Church Farm, Occold, before making off with about £100 in cash on Thursday at about 19:00 GMT.

The farm's Chris Hull, who was nearby with his children at the time, said the break-in had angered him and had also upset and scared his 10-year-old daughter.

"Even though she did not see it, she did not want to leave me, and you don't want your kids to think they are not safe to roam around in a rural area," he said.

Police have appealed for information.
