Chancellor downs Rotherham-brewed pint after Budget

Chancellor John Healey was filmed downing a pint of beer after delivering his maiden Budget speech on Wednesday.

As is tradition, he joined staff from the Treasury for a drink at the Two Chairmen pub in Westminster.

And, in recognition of his Rawmarsh and Conisbrough constituency, he celebrated with a drop of Chancellor's Choice, brewed by the Chantry Brewery in Rotherham.
