  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:42 BST 27 August

    Kishore b Stokes 0 (Durham v Glos 129-8)

Sai Kishore has a complete rush of blood to the head.

He's been peppered by short stuff from Kasey Aldridge and Ben Stokes and decides to go on the offensive, dancing down the track and trying to hoik Stokes halfway to Sunderland.

He misses the ball, however, and sees his leg stump splattered as he wheels around.

James Bracey must be livid at the other end.

  2. 50 runs

partnershippublished at 14:42 BST 27 August

    Sussex v Somerset 149-5

Craig Overton muscles a ball not that full from Jadev Unadkat past cover for four.

And then plays forward and gets a thick outside edge wide of second slip for another boundary.

It raises the fifty stand in only 63 balls. This is a nice reply since losing James Rew in the fourth over of the session.

  3. Postpublished at 14:40 BST 27 August

    Glam v Hants 137-8

Great shot from Kyle Abbott who walks into a beautiful straight drive off Zain ul-Hassan. That was brutally elegant, all high leading elbow and defiance.

Maybe Hants' best hope is to have a right old thrash here in an attempt to get to 180 or so.

  4. 'He messed up'published at 14:39 BST 27 August

    Yorks 121-3 v Leics

    David Townsend
    BBC Radio Leeds

He knows that he's messed up.

He knew he shouldn't be playing that shot.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:37 BST 27 August

    Killeen c Robinson b Aldridge 6 (Durham v Glos 128-7

Kasey Aldridge has his third as Mitch Killeen edges through to keeper Ollie Robinson and Glos are teetering.

Spinner Sai Kishore is the new batter, and gets struck on the forearm with the first ball from Aldridge.

The physio is coming on, while Aldridge nips to the public loo by the scoreboard during the delay. Efficient.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:35 BST 27 August

    Whiteman c Tattersall b Scriven 49 (Yorks 121-3 v Leics)

    Oh what a shame!

One shy of his half-century, Sam Whiteman feels for a ball outside off stump and edges it through to Jonny Tattersall who takes the catch diving in front of first slip.

A shot that has been out of character with his innings, but he has to go and Tom Scriven breaks the 115-run stand.

  7. Whiteman hits a sevenpublished at 14:34 BST 27 August

    Yorks 119-2 v Leics

Sam Whiteman sends a wide ball from Tom Scruven towards the boundary and Hamza Shaikh reels it in well to stop a four.

    But did he?

He throws it in and wicketkeeper Jonny Tattersall has a shy at the stumps as the batters attempt to steal another run.

But with no-one backing up, there are four buzzers.

This might be a seven. It is.

That can't have happened too often...

Hampshire being allowed to promote Currie up the order is scandalous even if he did score 0. I’m all for England players being released to play for their counties but that is outrageous given Baker's batting skill

    Smithy, Sussex

I get what Mike from Enfield is saying but like it or not county cricket would no longer exist without the white ball game so it has to be fitted in at less popular times. When you see whole families thoroughly enjoying the hundred it would be churlish to complain.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:30 BST 27 August

    Fuller c Tribe b ul-Hassan 4 (Glam v Hants 129-8)

You could be fooled into thinking you are watching replays here and, to be honest, we best just check.

No.. that is the same dismissal again Asa Tribe hanging on at second slip after a perfectly pitched delivery leaves the batsman late.

Hants look on their last legs here, certainly their last first innings legs that is.

  10. 50 runs

for Tom Abellpublished at 14:30 BST 27 August

    Sussex v Somerset 136-5

It’s not often Somerset lie down easily and they’ve got a partnership going again with Tom Abell and Craig Overton.

Joey Evison sends down a half-tracker and Abell swivels on it and sends it over deep square for six.

It brings him a 71-ball fifty snd the start of a Somerset comeback.

  11. Postpublished at 14:29 BST 27 August

    Durham v Glos 125-6

Ben Stokes is charging in at Mitch Killeen, beating the blade with an unplayable ball that swings away from the right-hander.

The heavy skies are just starting to weep a little at CLS. Only drizzle at the moment, but... not what the hosts will want.

  12. 'The home side could get the best of the weather'published at 14:29 BST 27 August

    Glam v Hants 129-7

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It just goes back to the sort of season they are having in the four day game but the worst thing that can happen is they get bowled out whenever and it feels like it won't be too far away and then the home side get the best of the weather in the afternoon.

  13. 'This pair look comfortable'published at 14:28 BST 27 August

    Yorks 111-2 v Leics

    Adam Whitty
    BBC Radio Leicester commentator

At the moment this pair look comfortable and metronomic bowling doesn't look like it's going to create much scoreboard pressure,

They seem confident just hanging around.

  14. Postpublished at 14:25 BST 27 August

    Yorks 111-2 v Leics

It's got gradually gloomier since the lunch interval and the umpires convene to discuss the light.

Thankfully, with a healthy crowd enjoying this Yorkshire fightback, play will go on.

Rain is expected a bit later, but we should get a couple of sessions in today at least.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:21 BST 27 August

Currie b van der Gugten 0 (Glam v Hants 124-7)

Scott Currie is going to be replaced in the XI by Sonny Baker when he arrives from Lord's and his net contribution is going to be... nothing.

To be fair to him that was a good ball to get on your second delivery as Timm van der Gugten fires it through Currie's guard to clip off stump.

Hants are wilting and in danger of falling well short of 200 here. Whether this is a 124-7 pitch is questionable but Glam have bowled really good lines and with pace this morning.

Does seem unfortunate with the Summer we've had that County Cricket takes the brunt, as usual, of the rain!

    Mike, Enfield

Agreed, Mike, but let's just enjoy the play we have today...

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:19 BST 27 August

    Neal c Tribe b Hamza 9 (Glam v Hants 123-6)

Andrew Neal showed a bit of intent earlier in the over with a crunching straight drive and a flourish through the covers for two fours.

But he has fallen to a sharp inswinger which looks to have caught the leading edge as he tried to get his bat out of the way.

The edge flies to Asa Tribe at second slip and Hants are in bother.

  18. 50 runs

for James Braceypublished at 14:18 BST 27 August

    Durham v Glos 119-6

    Some knock, this.

James Bracey was in the midst of the carnage at 13-3 but has knuckled down and put the team on his back in tricky conditions against a stellar attack.

He cracks a couple off a full-toss from Brydon Carse, a couple of balls after almost dribbling the ball onto his own stumps, and brings up his half-century from 76 balls with seven fours.

  19. 'No evils in this pitch'published at 14:17 BST 27 August

    Yorks 109-2 v Leics

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

If you go back to those two wickets earlier, the ball was nipping around.

But since then, if you concentrate and get used to this surface, I don't think there's been any evils in this pitch at all.

There's been a little bit of extra bounce which interests bowlers but whch batters can also work with when they get in.

  20. Postpublished at 14:13 BST 27 August

    Durham v Glos 117-6

Really good spell from Matty Potts and Brydon Carse, turning the screw on James Bracey and Mitch Killeen, but despite a few near misses, the hosts wait for a seventh wicket.
