    50 partnershippublished at 14:45 BST 22 August

    Glos 60-0 v Worcs - trail by 57

This is the start of a good rearguard by Gloucestershire in their second innings.

Cameron Bancroft and Joe Phillips have been pretty untroubled in reaching this point.

The captain has 30 and Phillips is on 25.

    Hants v Yorkshire 267-8 - lead by 243

More runs for George Hill. He cuts Kyle Abbott away backwards of square for four to move on to 20 not out.

After picking up five-fer yesterday, Hill is showing his importance to the Yorkshire cause with the bat today.

Their lead nears 250 which will be a tricky target for Hampshire to chase on this surface.

  3. 50 runs

50 partnership for Essexpublished at 14:43 BST 22 August

    Somerset v Essex 179-3 - trail by 132

A white-ball flourish from Charlie Allison, who goes down on one knee and carves Migael Pretorius down to third man for four.

He advances to 22 not out and brings up an invaluable 50 partnership with Matt Critchley - but Essex need them to make it a lot bigger still.

  4. Warwickshire start run-chasepublished at 14:39 BST 22 August

    Warks 4-0 - target 203

Jaydev Unadkat takes the new ball for Sussex with four slips in place.

His first delivery is outside off-stump and Rob Yates flips it wide of the fourth and away to the boundary - a very unorthodox, ungainly stroke that one.

"You want every player out there to be captaining in their mind," says former Warwickshire skipper Dermot Reeve.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 BST 22 August

    Singh b Helm 0 (Middlesex v Kent 191-6 - lead by 292)

Wickets in successive balls for Tom Helm!

Ekansh Singh has his off-stump shattered as Helm gets one to move back in and beat the bat.

Matt Milnes sees out the hat-trick ball but Helm's wickets feel a little bit too late for Middlesex's chances.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:37 BST 22 August

Mike (run out Carlson) 28 (Leicestershire 209-8 v Glamorgan - lead by 208)

A moment of inspiration from the Glamorgan skipper!

Ben Mike pushes Mason Crane down to mid-on and attempts a single, but fielding captain Kiran Carlson picks up and shies successfully at the stumps with Mike short of his ground! A big wicket, that.

  7. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 22 August

    Hants v Yorkshire 256-8 - lead by 232

    What a shot this is.

Dom Bess, number 10, scoops Kyle Abbott over wicketkeeper Ben Brown's head down to long stop for four.

A really inventive, but also controlled shot, by Bess who is now 17 not out.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:34 BST 22 August

    Compton c Holden b Helm 65 (Middlesex v Kent 191-5 - lead by 292)

    That's a good catch!

Max Holden dives at cover and grabs Ben Compton's attempted drive.

But a good innings from the Kent opener has his side in the driving seat.

  9. Postpublished at 14:34 BST 22 August

    Somerset v Essex 172-3 - trail by 139

Archie Vaughan coming under some pressure now as Charlie Allison plays two successive reverse sweeps, both of which bring him four runs, even though he didn't make the cleanest contact with the second.

Alison is now 17 not out, Matt Critchley has 26, and Essex need another 139 to clear the deficit.

  10. 250 runs

250 up for Yorkshirepublished at 14:31 BST 22 August

    Hants v Yorkshire 250-8 - lead by 226

George Hill uses an open face to work the ball down to third man for two and moves on to 16 not out.

That takes Yorkshire on to 250-8. Their lead is now 226 runs.

  11. 300 runs

Notts lead passes 300published at 14:29 BST 22 August

    Notts 279-9 v Surrey - lead is 301

Notts tail-enders Dillon Pennington and Brett Hutton have steered their side's lead in this second innings past 300.

Opening bowlers Dan Worrall and Matt Fisher are now working to end this passage and begin Surrey's chase.

  12. Glamorgan set for demanding chasepublished at 14:28 BST 22 August

    Leicestershire 203-7 v Glamorgan - lead by 202

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

A remarkably mature knock of 93 from rookie Sheridon Gumbs has put the Foxes in a match-winning position on a treacherous pitch that saw four wickets go quickly this morning.

Gumbs added 71 with Ben Mike, the highest stand of the match, before Timm van der Gugten ripped his middle stump out.

On a pitch which saw Zain Ul-Hassan’s medium pacers rear alarmingly at times, Glamorgan face a demanding final innings chase.

  13. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 22 August

    Hants v Yorkshire 245-8 - lead by 221

A glorious straight drive from George Hill goes in between mid-off and Kyle Abbott for four.

Hill held the pose for a second for good measure as well. All vital runs at this stage for Yorkshire but they're even better when they look that good.

  14. SUSSEX ALL OUT FOR 207published at 14:27 BST 22 August

    Unadkat lbw Woakes 11 (Warks 161 v Sussex 156 & 207)

Great delivery from Chris Woakes which swings in from outside off- stump and traps Jaydev Unadkat lbw - meaning Warwickshire will require 203 in their second innings to win this match.

Woakes finishes with 2-43 but once again - as so often this season - Ethan Bamber is the most successful Bears bowler, returning figures of 3-42.

Sussex are a senior bowler light, with injury putting Fynn Hudson-Prentice out of the game, but there is still something there for the seamers and they will be hoping for a couple of early breakthroughs to dent Warwickshire's confidence.

  15. 200 runs

200 up for Leicestershirepublished at 14:26 BST 22 August

    Leicestershire 203-7 v Glamorgan - lead by 202

Leicestershire have passed 200 in their second innings - and in doing so their lead does the same.

Tom Scriven is now out in the middle with Ben Mike, who is still there on 24.

  16. Postpublished at 14:26 BST 22 August

    Somerset v Essex 171-3 - trail by 140

That one keeps a little low from Jack Leach and Matt Critchley almost chops it into his stumps. Fortunately it just misses and a single is added to the Essex score.

  17. 100 runs

100 up for Durhampublished at 14:25 BST 22 August

    Derbyshire v Durham 100-1 - lead by 227

Ben McKinney pulls away a short ball from Ben Aitchison behind square for four and that brings up Durham's 100.

They now lead by 227 with nine wickets still in the shed.

Shoaib Bashir is into the attack for the hosts.

  18. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:24 BST 22 August

    Lancashire v Northants 32-0 - lead by 179

Plain sailing for the visitors since lunch, and Ricardo Vasconcelos effortlessly pulls Tom Bailey towards the temporary stand for six.

He gets four later in the over with an excellent back foot shot through the offside and the left-hander moves to 30 from only 26 balls.

His partner Luke Procter has two.

  19. Durham take their lead past 200published at 14:24 BST 22 August

    Derbyshire v Durham 96-1 - lead by 223

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

I have a feeling this one may finish today. Durham are in a strong position and have taken their lead to 223 early in this afternoon session.

Matty Potts took 5-46 earlier, as Derbyshire were bowled out for just 156 to leave Durham with a first innings lead of 127. That took him to 46 championship wickets this season.

Ben Aitchison matched him when he had Alex Lees caught in the gully off the first ball of Durham's second innings.

There's been a bit of swing evident today but the runs are also coming for the visitors. Ben McKinney has 58 and Will Rhodes 30. I think they could have a big enough lead to pull out around tea and will no doubt back themselves to dismiss Derbyshire once again.

  20. Sussex lead passes 200published at 14:22 BST 22 August

    Warks v Sussex 206-9 - lead by 201

Number 11 Jaydev Unadkat slashes Ethan Bamber square for four runs.

He enjoyed that - so much so, that he repeats the shot from the next delivery, with the same result.

Far too wide by Bamber as Sussex push their lead past 200.
