The new series of Celebrity Traitors has had its fair share of dramatic moments and shock reveals, but its soundtrack has done much to create the moody atmosphere, with its brooding covers and cinematic compositions.

Dorset singer-songwriter Lloren, real name Lauren Bannon, has had three of her songs featured during some of series two's most explosive moments.

"It was only this series that I was like 'do you know what, I need to watch this' because... I thought this, this sounds like a bit of me," she said in the countdown to the show's explosive finale.

Lloren studied music production at Southampton Solent University, with her influences including Lana del Rey, Taylor Swift, and Sigrid.

She first came to the nation's attention in 2018 when she reached The Voice UK final, and released her debut album It's Always Sunny in LA last year.

The songwriter has had her music featured in shows ranging from Grey's Anatomy and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here to Love Island.

Lloren's songs on Celebrity Traitors were made with Power-Haus Creative, a company that works with composers and recording artists, often on music for programmes and trailer music.

Remember My Name, also produced and composed by Berlin Aires and Jonathon Deering, featured during the pivotal moment when mathematician and celebrity faithful Hannah Fry was given an ultimatum to join the traitors.

"Sometimes [songs] just come because you're just feeling a certain way," Lloren told BBC Dorset Breakfast show presenter Steve Harris.

"Then other times, like at a songwriting camp that I did, we were given briefs and told 'make things that may be dark or a bit sinister' and so I just channelled my inner diva and thought, you know, 'they'll remember my name'.

"So that specific song was written with the idea in mind. It needed to be moody and that it would probably land on something.

"I didn't know what it would land on, didn't know it would be Traitors, but I knew it's got to be a dark scene, I've got to channel this sort of energy."

The song's use on the programme, which this year had its biggest launch yet, still came as a pleasant surprise.

"They don't warn me beforehand - with a lot of ITV and BBC stuff it's called blanket cover, and quite often you get no indication that you're going to be on it, and I must have a fan in the music supervisor realm."

She added: "I hadn't really watched The Traitors until this series which is crazy to me because I love murder mystery. I'm a big murder mystery fan.

"I just hadn't got round to do it... and I've been hooked.

"Also my friend Sean Stealth, he had one as well and I recognised the track instantly and I was like 'oh I think this is my friend' and then me and my partner were watching, and I was like 'do you know what? I did backing vocals for this'.

"Actually me and a group of us that were at a songwriting camp in France had done the backing vocals for it so that was quite a surreal moment.

"Anytime I see my song on TV it's surreal and I have to pinch myself."

Lloren's new single Take Me Away is out now, ahead of her new album Love is Alien to Me.
