And that's your lot for day three!

Somerset and Notts will come back on Friday, hoping to keep themselves right in the title race.

Any dropped points will give Warwickshire the advantage.

Leicestershire and Hampshire will also be searching for a crucial win to boost their survival hopes.

Hope you can join us on day four, see you then.

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 149-7

Sussex have completely dominated day three and Nottinghamshire's title hopes are on the brink.

The visitors have slumped from 142-4 to 149-7 and lead by just 31 runs with only three wickets in hand.

Notts will need a miracle on the final day to avoid defeat at Hove.

An excellent performance by Sussex, it must be said.

Ari Karvelas has taken 4-34 and Jaydev Unadkat 3-39, with all three of those for Unadkat coming in a devastating spell at the end of the day.

Tell me about it, Ben (18:13). We do have an amazing ability to drag ourselves out of positions we should never have been in in the first place, though. Let's keep the faith.

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 148-7

A wicket maiden in the penultimate over of the day for Jaydev Unadkat and Sussex have almost taken the game completely away from Nottinghamshire in the past five overs.

What an ending to this day at Hove.

    Patterson-White c Simpson b Unadkat 5 (Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 148-7)

What a catch this is by John Simpson!

And what an inspirational bowling change to bring back on Jaydev Unadkat who now has three wickets in this spell.

Liam Patterson-White inside edges and Simpson sprawls at full stretch to his right when his body weight would've been going the other way and makes the one-handed grab.

From 142-4, Notts are now 148-7 and staring defeat in the face at the moment. Could this be their title defence fading?

Jaydev Unadkat to bowl the penultimate over of the day at Hove.

  8. Stumps at the Riversidepublished at 18:24 BST 17 September

    Durham 465 & 161-6 v Worcestershire 448

Ollie Robinson and Kasey Aldridge have safely negotiated Durham through to the close but we've got an exciting last day in prospect.

Durham lead by 178 with four wickets in hand.

George Hill is perfect for England. Solid lower order batsman, very skilled seamer and an excellent fielder. Top run scorer and wicket taker for Yorks this season. Seriously good cricketer.

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 146-6

Three overs of the day remaining. Can Notts get to close without losing another wicket?

Spinner Jack Carson will bowl this next over for Sussex.

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 146-6

A nice full toss on leg stump for Liam Patterson-White for his first ball from Jaydev Unadkat and he flicks it off his legs for four.

Notts lead by 28 but they've only got four wickets left. They're in a real spot of bother here.

    Stone b Unadkat 0 (Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 142-6)

You can bet Nottinghamshire wish they'd been taken off for bad light now.

Jaydev Unadkat has absolutely demolished Olly Stone's stumps and the nightwatchman is gone for a six-ball duck.

Both off and leg stump are ripped out the ground. Middle stump somehow survives - that stump should buy a lottery ticket tonight.

Notts restore their usual batting order and Liam Patterson-White does come in now.

Maiden over for Jack Carson. Unsurprising at this stage of the day.

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 142-5

Olly Stone is in for nightwatchman duty alongside Mitch Hay for Nottinghamshire.

They'll really just want to get to close now.

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 142-5

Five overs of the day still to play but the light is not great at Hove now.

We could see this ending for the day very shortly.

  19. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 18:09 BST 17 September

Leics 156-3 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

As expected, the light has not improved and the third day of this match is over.

There is hope for Leicestershire after a promising stand from the first wicket pair and a fine half century from Rehan Ahmed, who played some stylish shots under pressure for his 55.

We have seen bounce and movement off the seam at times for the Hampshire attack.

Ahmed fell to a ball angled into him by Manny Lumsden, caught at slip by Scott Currie.

There was some swing too when Scott Currie got one to curve away from Rishi Patel, caught behind for 27 in his last innings as a Leicestershire player.

There were some inventive field placings on show from Hampshire, notably when Leicestershire opener Sheridon Gumbs was dismissed off the bowling of spinner Felix Oran with three players back on the drive.

Gumbs was caught at long off by Nick Gubbins for 38 - and now Leicestershire hopes in this must-win game rest on Hamza Shakih (16*) and Nick Kelly, unbeaten on four.

    Haynes c Carson b Unadkat 37 (Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 142-5)

Another Notts batter who was looking good is gone and the bowling change for Sussex has worked wonders immediately.

The first over of Jaydev Unadkat's spell is short and wide and Jack Haynes slashes at it.

But it flies to Jack Carson in a deep gully position and he takes the catch.

Haynes goes for 37 and all five of the Notts top order have been dismissed.
