WICKETpublished at 17:38 BST 17 September

    McCann c Simpson b Karvelas 23 (Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 117-4)

This is an excellent catch by John Simpson and Ari Karvelas has four!

Freddie McCann flashes at one outside off stump and edges behind.

It's flying sharply to Simpson's left but he gets across very well to make the grab and McCann goes for 23.

Notts still trail by one run and are effectively starting this second innings four wickets down.

  2. Postpublished at 17:36 BST 17 September

Leics 151-3 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Good delivery from Felix Organ, inviting the drive from Nick Kelly.

Kelly is forward defending into the off side.

Kelly is down the pitch to flash the fifth ball through long off for four.

Good footwork getting to the pitch of a length ball. That's the innings 150 in the 46th over.

Organ floats it up and Kelly misses a drive from the crease on bended knee to end an eventful over.

    10 overs left tonight.

  3. Postpublished at 17:36 BST 17 September

    Northants 310 & 18-0 v Derby 372 & 286

Northants main aim has been to survive the 15 overs they're facing at the end of the day and then they'll have a go in the morning.

It's important to them that Ricardo Vascancelos is still there.

He has five centuries this season and started his innings needing 68 to bring up a thousand in the championship this season.

    Eight more overs due today.

Durham 116-5 lead Worcestershire by 133

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

For much of the day we were struggling to see how we would have any other result tomorrow than a draw.

The game was going at snail's pace as Worcestershire methodically tried to wipe out Durham's first innings score of 465 - and came within 17 runs of doing so.

There were 44 overs left of day three when Durham began their second innings. They are now five down and four of the batters have been bowled off stump.

Ben McKinney (38) and Alex Lees (25) fell to identical deliveries from Matthew Waite from the Lumley End. The ball pitched and never got up.

George O'Connor then bowled Mayank Agarwal from the Finchale End, for nine, to gain his first first-class wicket, while Will Rhodes has just been bowled by Tom Taylor for 25.

Colin Ackermann is the only player not to have been bowled. He was lbw to Ben Allison for four.

The lights are on. There are less than 10 overs left today. It's doing a bit!

  5. Postpublished at 17:35 BST 17 September

Somerset 64-3 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire

Tom Abell got a golden duck in the first innings for Somerset and Matthew Revis is making him uncomfortable here.

Revis bangs in a short one and it flicks off the bat of Abell as he tries to take evasive action.

Luckily for the Somerset man, it loops to safety. Yorkshire have their tails up and have set an aggressive field to Abell.

Abell makes the most of it from the final ball of the over to chip over short mid-wicket for four.

Leics 146-3 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

    Adam Whitty
    BBC Radio Leicester commentator

"He batted really well but he had to go on, didn't he? He had to go on."

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:33 BST 17 September

    Ahmed c Currie b Lumsden 55 - Leics 146-3 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

    He's gone this time.

He goes back and across to a ball from Manny Lumsden that bounces and leaves him.

He pushes a catch to Scott Currie first slip.

Rehan Ahmed falls for a fine half century and Nick Kelly, the New Zealand international, to bat next.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:31 BST 17 September

    Nicholls b Revis 24 (Somerset 60-3 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire)

That is a big wicket for Yorkshire to take and for Somerset to lose.

Henry Nicholls was looking good but he pushes at one from Matthew Revis and it goes straight through the gate to clatter into the top of middle and off.

Not the greatest shot you'll ever see but very well bowled by Revis.

Somerset still need 227 to win but they've only got seven wickets to play with now.

  9. Postpublished at 17:30 BST 17 September

Somerset 60-2 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire

Another new bowler is into the attack for Yorkshire and Kuldeep Yadav is going to bowl some spin.

Just one run from the over but Yadav is getting some turn and the home fielders like the look of it.

Plenty of "oohs" and "ahhs" from Yadav's team-mates.

  10. dropped catch

Rehan Ahmed escapes on 50published at 17:28 BST 17 September

Leics 140-2 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

    Single to Hamza Shaikh.

Rehan Ahmed goes for a big pull shot...

The ball flies to Manny Lumsden running from deep square leg.

He's under it at full stretch, reaching out but not able to grasp it.

A tough chance is missed. Just.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Rehan Ahmedpublished at 17:26 BST 17 September

Leics 138-2 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Felix Organ bowls to Rehan Ahmed on 49.

He goes back and across stroking leg side. No run.

Back again, through mid-wicket and there's the single for his 50 off 78 balls with eight fours.

His third score of 50 or more this season with a best of 128, made here against Yorkshire in June.

  12. Postpublished at 17:25 BST 17 September

Somerset 59-2 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire

Matthew Revis is on to bowl for Yorkshire.

He finds the edge of Henry Nicholls' bat but it drops just a few inches short of Adam Lyth at second slip.

Nicholls got away with one there before picking up a leg bye into the leg-side.

A couple of singles apiece for Tom Lammonby and Nicholls to end the over with three from it.

  13. Postpublished at 17:23 BST 17 September

Leics 137-2 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Another cut shot missed by Rehan Ahmed.

The ball bounces above the blade and through to the keeper.

Manny Lumsden gets one to swing away late, bringing four byes.

A swivel pull from Ahmed brings for through square leg.

Ahmed is on 48. He goes again off a wider ball, missing.

He connects off the last ball, pulling through mid-wicket for one.

  14. Postpublished at 17:23 BST 17 September

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 105-3

Lovely shot by Jack Haynes to cut away from Ari Karvelas for four. A similar shot two balls later but it's just one this time.

Freddie McCann then plays and misses outside off before blocking the last ball of the over.

  15. Postpublished at 17:19 BST 17 September

Leics 128-2 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Felix Organ has switched ends and now bowls from the Pavilion End.

Rehan Ahmed and Hamza Shaikh trade singles.

A quicker, flatter delivery is jabbed safely leg side by Hamza Shaikh.

  16. 100 runs

100 up for Nottspublished at 17:19 BST 17 September

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 100-3

Jack Haynes picks up a single off Jack Carson's over and Notts reach 100. Sussex still lead by 18 runs.

  17. 100 runs

100 partnership for Surreypublished at 17:18 BST 17 September

    Surrey 115 & 145-2 v Glamorgan 132 & 594

Cricket can lift you up and knock you down.

Basking in the glory of a career best 114 not out with the bat Mason Crane has been hit for 25 in two overs of leg spin,

Ryan Patel despatches him for three consecutive boundaries to bring up the century stand with Ollie Pope.

  18. 50 runs

50 up for Somersetpublished at 17:17 BST 17 September

Somerset 53-2 - target 287 to beat Yorkshire

Tom Lammonby flicks off his legs from Ben Cliff and Somerset come through for two.

Lammonby then whips another off his legs and this time it's a much better result as it flies to the deep mid-wicket boundary for four.

And with that, Lammonby goes to 21 and Somerset pass 50.

  19. Postpublished at 17:16 BST 17 September

Leics 126-2 (target 334 to beat Hampshire)

Manny Lumsden replaces Felix Organ in the attack.

He gets the ball to nip back into Rehan Ahmed, who safely pushes the ball back to the bowler.

He's beaten outside off stump by a ball that keeps low.

He misses an attempted pull and is hit on top of the pad.

    maiden over.

  20. Postpublished at 17:15 BST 17 September

    Sussex 358 v Notts 240 & 99-3

It's not been a bad day for Ari Karvelas so far with three wickets for Sussex.

The South African bowls another maiden to Freddie McCann.

He's returning to his role as director of cricket at Solihull School at the end of this season - a job he's been juggling while playing for Sussex.

    A busy man, indeed.
