  1. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 12:37 BST 17 September

    Northants 310 v Derby 372 & 93-4

All results still possible at Northampton.

The home side could do with a victory and certainly need to avoid defeat in the second division promotion race. They've made some progress in the morning session with four wickets, three taken by Liam Guthrie.

Kent's imminent victory will end Derbyshire's already slim chances but they would love a fifth win of the season.

Martin Andersson, who started the season with a double century in the opening game, looks solid on 21.

Sanderson has been bowling to Andersson who are anagrams of each other.

  2. Postpublished at 12:35 BST 17 September

Kent 110-3 (target 140 to beat Lancashire)

34 needed for a Kent win - as the club tries to move ahead of Northants in the promotion race.

George Balderson continues from the Pavilion End.

He's wide of off stump and Daniel Bell-Drummond leaves the ball.

The fifth ball is wide and guided through the off side for four with a slightly angled blade.

  3. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 12:34 BST 17 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 416-7

Glamorgan have taken their lead to 433 during a quiet morning session in which they added 77 runs.

For Surrey Auqib Nabi has celebrated his call up to the India ODI squad with two wickets but even he has struggled to get much pace out of a pitch which is looking rather dull on day three.

Either side could still win this but the priority for both is not to lose.

  4. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 12:32 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 208-6 v Somerset 201

A session that completely belonged to Yorkshire as we head to lunch at Headingley.

Somerset will have been hoping to bowl the hosts out this morning and get into bat to chase down a target to keep their title hopes in their own hands.

But instead, Yorkshire have added 80 runs to their overnight total and extended their lead to 219 without so much as losing a single wicket.

George Hill has 88 and Dom Bess 60 in a partnership worth 154 runs between the two.

  5. Postpublished at 12:31 BST 17 September

Kent 106-3 (target 140 to beat Lancashire)

Sam Northeast is across the line to Tom Bailey, pushing to mid on but there's no run.

With Kent close to the target we'll be taking lunch a little bit later than scheduled.

Cloud cover has returned to Canterbury but no rain.

    Maiden over.

Get Involved - George Hill for England?published at 12:30 BST 17 September

Regular topic, but time for Hill in the England setup for the vacant all rounder spot? Particularly given the top pace tunnel vision has eased.

    Chris, Rotherham

I know George Hill has been mentioned in an England role but as a selfish Yorkshire fan I want him to stay with us.

    Pete, Keighley

Surely George Hill gets a go for England soon. He looks dynamite with the ball and competent with the bat.

    Steve, Stoke

  7. Postpublished at 12:29 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 208-6 v Somerset 201

Excellent fielding by Archie Vaughan, diving at full stretch to his right to deny a certain boundary for George Hill off Craig Overton.

Yorkshire instead come through for a single and Hill moves to 88*.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:27 BST 17 September

    Weatherley c Cox b Scriven 28 (Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 313-7)

Joe Weatherley is forward to defend.

A hint of movement from Tom Scriven as the ball nips away off the outside edge and goes through to the keeper.

    Classic seam bowler's dismissal.

    Here comes Scott Currie.

  9. Postpublished at 12:27 BST 17 September

    Northants 310 v Derby 372 & 89-4

Second five of the match at Northampton.

Martin Andersson goes for a quick single The throw from James Sales hits the batter and goes to the boundary for overthrows.

  10. Postpublished at 12:27 BST 17 September

Kent 106-3 (target 140 to beat Lancashire)

    A change of bowling.

George Balderson comes on in place of James Anderson.

Daniel Bell-Drummond gets a thick inside edge safely away for two.

    Four off the over altogether.

  11. Postpublished at 12:26 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 207-6 v Somerset 201

Is it just not going to be Somerset's day?

Lewis Gregory bowls an absolute beauty to Dom Bess, angling one in and pitching it on middle and off. But it moves away and avoids off stump by a feather's width, with Bess completely beaten.

And then the next ball clips the thigh pad of Bess and runs away for four leg byes.

  12. Postpublished at 12:24 BST 17 September

Kent 102-3 (target 140 to beat Lancashire)

Sam Northeast presses forward to Tom Bailey, pushing the bowler to mid on for no run.

The third ball is glanced leg side for a single.

Daniel Bell-Drummond is forward defending compactly into the off side.

The Kent captain squeezes a shorter ball away leg side to get off the mark for one into mid-wicket. More edge than middle there but that won't matter a jot to Kent as they inch towards the target.

    38 runs to win.

  13. 200 runs

200 up for Yorkshirepublished at 12:23 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 201-6 v Somerset 201

Yorkshire are piling on the runs here now.

Dom Bess crunches Lewis Gregory through the off-side and it rattles into the fence. Right out of the middle of the bat.

The home side pass the 200 mark and extend their lead to 212.

  14. Postpublished at 12:21 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 197-6 v Somerset 201

Just as we get that corker from Mike (12:20 BST), Dom Bess plays a lovely cover drive off Craig Overton.

It doesn't quite reach the rope but Bess picks up three more to move onto 54.

  15. Glamorgan progress towards safetypublished at 12:21 BST 17 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 405-5

Back to back boundaries from Timm van der Gugten off James Taylor.

One was a straight drive, followed by a flick around the pads.

Despite that little burst Glamorgan's priority seems to be trying to make sure they don't lose the game. A draw will be enough to make them safe.

A leg bye brings up the Kent innings 100 in the 21st over.

  18. 6 runs

Mayes tees offpublished at 12:18 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 310-6

Here comes Nathan Gilchrist. There goes Nathan Gilchrist.

Short and leg side to Ben Mayes, who swipes the ball over backward square leg for six.

    Hampshire lead by 280.

  19. Postpublished at 12:17 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 194-6 v Somerset 201

Just the one run from Lewis Gregory's first over with the new ball for Somerset as George Hill lifts one up and over the slips for a single down to third man to move on to 87*.

There's a half shout for an lbw on Dom Bess as it thuds into his pads but it's probably going well over the top before Bess picks up a single to third man as well.

A decent over by Gregory but still no reward, which Somerset so desperately need with the Yorkshire lead worth 205 with four wickets still in hand.

  20. Postpublished at 12:16 BST 17 September

Kent 99-3 (target 140 to beat Lancashire)

Tom Bailey is wide of off to Daniel Bell-Drummond - who lets the first ball of his innings go.

    41 for Kent to win.
