    Yorkshire 212 & 159-6 v Somerset 201

That's an expensive over in the end for Migael Pretorius and Somerset, with 17 from it for Yorkshire.

George Hill edges down to third man for four and then pulls away for three more to move onto 71.

The hosts have added 31 runs to their overnight total and now lead by 170.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:22 BST 17 September

    Gubbins c A Patel b Holland 133 - Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 283-5

A bit of movement off the seam for Ian Holland but too wide to trouble Nick Gubbins at this stage.

Now he's beaten on the outside edge.

A wide ball draws a drive and a miss out of Gubbins.

Edged! Caught at second slip! Ajaz Patel takes it at knee height.

    Gubbins had tried to defend.

Leicestershire have a second wicket of the morning and Hampshire captain Ben Brown will bat next.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:20 BST 17 September

    Cooke c Lawrence b Nabi 36 (Surrey 115 v Glam 132 & 362-6)

Chris Cooke pulls an Auqib Nabi delivery straight to Dan Lawrence at mid-wicket.

It's now five in the match for the Indian bowler.

Glamorgan lead by 379 with four wickets left.

  4. 150 runs

150 up for Yorkshirepublished at 11:19 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 150-6 v Somerset 201

Migael Pretorius comes into the attack to bowl his first over of the day for Somerset.

But his first ball is hammered away through the covers for four by George Hill. And then Hill cuts away the second ball to the rope as well.

That brings up the 150 for Yorkshire, who lead by 161 now. Somerset could really do without leaking these runs.

  5. Postpublished at 11:17 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 142-6 v Somerset 201

Close to a breakthrough this morning for Somerset!

Dom Bess nudges into the leg-side off Craig Overton and opts to take on a risky quick single.

Josh Thomas comes racing in from mid-wicket but just misses the stumps at the non-striker's end with Bess desperately diving to make his ground.

That would have been a very tight call if Thomas had hit.

  6. new ball

New ball taken at Grace Roadpublished at 11:17 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 283-4

Ajaz Patel bowls a full length to Nick Gubbins - who blocks into the off side.

He gets a single off a shorter ball to backward point.

One more short ball to Joe Weatherley is cut to deep point. Two runs.

That's 80 overs bowled in the innings.

Now Leicestershire captain Ian Holland will bowl with the new ball.

  7. 100 runs

100 for Adam Hosepublished at 11:15 BST 17 September

    Worcestershire 297-5 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Adam Hose has reached 100 for only the third time in first class cricket. It comes in 218 balls with 12 fours.

He was dropped on nought yesterday - which has proven costly from a Durham point of view. Ben McKinney put that chance down off the bowling of Ben Stokes.

Hose was also hit in the ribs when he was on 98 off a short ball from Matty Potts. He took a while to regain his composure and I am sure his ribs are still feeling that one!

It's also a big moment for him after he suffered a serious ankle injury last year and spent the winter undergoing a rehab programme.

Worcestershire are now 297-5 and trail by 168. They have nearly reached the follow-on target of 316 as well.

Leicestershire prepare a poor wicket and get relegated for it. Lords prepares a poor wicket and still gets two tests a year.

    David, Wakefield

The Leicestershire punishment could have been much worse as 8 points are suspended. The bigger question is the consistency. Is this really the only punishable pitch seen this year? Should the flat "roads" also be classed as poor?

    Lee, West Yorkshire

If a home side prepare a bad pitch for batting, don’t both sides have to bat on it? You can’t prepare the toss. I can’t see why teams are fined. Green, lavish seamers and Bunsen burning rubble, or today’s Lord’s: get on with the game.

  9. 150 runs

Yorkshire lead by 150 runspublished at 11:11 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 139-6 v Somerset 201

First boundary of the day and it goes to Dom Bess as he absolutely crunches a lovely cover drive from Lewis Gregory and it races away to the fence.

Lovely sound off the bat for that one too.

Bess moves onto 34, with George Hill on 54. This partnership is now worth 85 runs and Yorkshire's lead is up to 150.

  10. Postpublished at 11:10 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 280-4

Rehan Ahmed is bowling round the wicket to Nick Gubbins.

The third ball is short and tapped away for one to mid-wicket.

Bit of a long hop, really. Four runs to Joe Weatherley, driving through extra cover.

  11. Postpublished at 11:07 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 275-4

Ajaz Patel is into his 28th over of the innings.

Nick Gubbins is back, playing defensively into the leg side.

Some sharp turn from outside off to Gubbins, who leaves the ball and watches it fizz over the top.

Two runs taken to cover off the next ball.

    One more cut to point.

Worth mentioning re the Leics pitch points deduction - allowing access for the filming of a Bollywood production impacted their ability to turn out a good pitch. Head groundsman also disagreed with the direction of the pitch but was overruled by head coach. No one to blame but themselves.

    Fred, Nottingham

At the start of the season, everyone agrees that they'll play the competition by the regulations. The regs say a poor pitch - which Leics admitted - gets 16 points deducted. This got lowered to 8 by the regulator. It's not harsh - it's how the competition works.

    Freddie, London

As a Glammy fan I definitely think it’s harsh to lose that many points, especially with 2-day pitches being commonplace in the latter part of this season. If deductions were required then just the points for the win were sufficient.

    Lloyd, Cardiff

  13. Postpublished at 11:05 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 135-6 v Somerset 201

Dom Bess has had some treatment and on we go. And then the next ball from Lewis Gregory whacks him in the midriff.

Bess isn't having the best time of it here for Yorkshire and still looks in a bit of pain.

  14. Postpublished at 11:05 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 272-4

Joe Weatherley pushes a single off the back foot to Rehan Ahmed.

Nick Gubbins pushes down the ground for no run.

He gets a single off the fifth ball to cover.

The new ball is due in three overs.

  15. 150 runs

150 for Asa Tribepublished at 11:03 BST 17 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 357-5

Glamorgan's Asa Tribe has an 150 to celebrateImage source, Shutterstock

Asa Tribe flicks a Dan Worrall delivery around his pads for his 16th four to reach his latest landmark. It's come off 320 balls.

Tribe's average in the first division this season has been barely half the 62 he reached in the second division last year.

But the 22-year-old's outstanding innings in this game offers hope that he has the ability to bounce from second season syndrome.

  16. Postpublished at 11:02 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 270-4

We now have a slip and a forward short leg in for Ajaz Patel.

Joe Weatherley goes back and punches the ball to deep cover for one.

Nick Gubbins defends. The forward short leg is removed.

  17. Postpublished at 11:02 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 135-6 v Somerset 201

Painful one for Dom Bess as Lewis Gregory bangs one in short and it strikes the Yorkshire batter on the hand.

Bess rips his glove off immediately and needs treatment so we will have another break in play.

Gregory roughing up his former team-mate.

I think Leicestershire would have been relegated anyway but the penalty seems very harsh considering the tough summer it’s been for ground staff and some poor pitches at test venues throughout the season. Hope they win the One Day Cup on Sunday to make up for it.

    Steve, London

Leics deduction is disgraceful. Plenty of low scores and roads elsewhere. Without this we'd have had a fascinating relegation battle.

    Ellie, Nottingham

Glamorgan fan, it wasn't a good pitch but it's getting penalised for looking weird rather than playing badly. Think the deduction is very harsh.

    Steve, Luton

  19. Postpublished at 10:59 BST 17 September

    Leicestershire 244 v Hampshire 214 & 269-4

Joe Weatherley is forward driving into extra cover to his first ball but there's no run.

He's off the mark (and off the pair) sweeping his third ball fine for four.

He gets one off the back foot into the off side.

  20. Postpublished at 10:58 BST 17 September

    Yorkshire 212 & 134-6 v Somerset 201

A single apiece for George Hill and Dom Bess from Craig Overton's first over after the rain delay and Yorkshire's lead nudges up to 145 runs.
