  1. US ahead in match twopublished at 07:46 BST 12 September

    Maguire/Henseleit v Kupcho/Zhang 1UP (4)

Rose Zhang seems to have the measure of the pace of these greens. The American rolls a lengthy birdie try to three feet on the short par-three fourth.

Leona Maguire has already tried from slightly further away and come up five feet short.

Esther Henseleit pulls her par attempt. Door open for Jen Kupcho, who walks straight through to turn this match around.

  2. Missed chancepublished at 07:45 BST 12 September

    2UP Rhodes/Nadaud v Kim/Lee (3)

Mimi Rhodes fires another dart into the third green leaving Nastasia Nadaud with just a couple of feet for another birdie and another win.

But she misses! It's a poor stroke actually and the ball hits the left edge and lips out.

Europe don't lose the hole, but lose the chance to go three up and in foursomes you have to take every chance you get and get as far ahead as you can as things can change quickly.

  3. Hull saves Woadpublished at 07:43 BST 12 September

    Woad/Hull v Al Lee/Coughlin (2)

Lottie Woad is chuntering to herself after coming up well short with her eagle try on the second. It's so short of pace that Charley Hull will try for birdie before the Americans.

And the relief is etched across Woad's face as Hull nails the putt.

Alison Lee tucks in the US birdie. Hole halved.

  4. Postpublished at 07:39 BST 12 September

    Hull/Woad v Lee/Coughlin A/S (1)

Nobody has managed to reach the par-five second green in two... until now.

A booming drive from Lottie Woad is followed by a great second by Charley Hull. Woad will have a putt from Amsterdam to come but it's still a look at eagle.

Alison Lee could not reach in two but Lauren Coughlin ratchets up the pressure on the European putt with a lovely wedge into four feet with the American's third shot.

  5. Rookies on a rollpublished at 07:35 BST 12 September

    2UP Rhodes/Nadaud v Kim/Lee (2)

    Solheim CupImage source, Getty Images

Two holes played, two birdies and a two-hole lead for the European Solheim Cup rooking pairing of Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud.

They must be wondering what all the fuss is about, it's easy this.

  6. All square in match twopublished at 07:34 BST 12 September

    Maguire/Henseleit v Kupcho/Zhang A/S (3)

On to the third green and we find Rose Zhang looking at a 20-footer to win the hole with a birdie.

And that's a lovely putt. The American knew that was in about five feet from the hole and she duly walked it in.

  7. Swedes back in frontpublished at 07:33 BST 12 September

    1UP Stark/Grant v Corpuz/Korda (4)

First mistake in the match comes from Nelly Korda who finds the heather off the tee - it's nasty stuff this as you'll know if you play heathland golf.

Allisen Corpuz can only hack a low skidder out across the other side of the green as the USA eventually make bogey, leaving Europe able to take the hole with a par.

  8. Hull misses chancepublished at 07:26 BST 12 September

    Hull/Woad v Lee/Coughlin A/S (1)

Advantage Europe again on the first hole.

Lauren Coughlin is yet to taste defeat in the Solheim Cup but her first shot of day two is a bit short of its intended target, pulling up a good 30 feet short of the hole.

Lottie Woad fires Europe's second much closer.

Alison Lee, with the long 'broom-handled' putter slides her putt an inch or two wide of the hole but two feet past.

Here's Charley Hull to make it a clean sweep for Europe on hole one... from 12 feet... leaves it two short. Hole halved.

  9. USA levelpublished at 07:21 BST 12 September

    Stark/Grant v Corpuz/Korda A/S (3)

This was always going to be a high quality contest in the top match and all three holes have had birdies made on them so far - this time it's the USA who get it to level up the contest.

It didn't sound like the best strike from Nelly Korda with her approach but it worked out well and Allisen Corpuz rolled in the putt for the three.

  10. Postpublished at 07:21 BST 12 September

    1UP Maguire/Henseleit v Kupcho/Zhang (2)

Europe's two-foot birdie putt on the long second is conceded so Rose Zhang has this from six feet or so for the half...

...in the middle of the cup. Solid.

  11. Last match awaypublished at 07:20 BST 12 September

    Hull/Woad v Lee/Coughlin (07:16)

Perhaps the biggest cheer of the morning reserved for this final pairing. Charley Hull and Lottie Woad have all the momentum ahead of them with Europe winning all three matches down this first hole so far.

Alison Lee is first up. Drive down the right but on the fairway.

Hull hits Europe's opener down the left. Also on the fairway. It's a change for this pairing - Woad was teeing off on the odd numbered holes yesterday.

  12. Europe win the first (again!)published at 07:18 BST 12 September

    1UP Rhodes/Nadaud v Kim/Lee (1)

Europe have won the opening hole in all three matches now as Nastasia Nadaud rolls in a fine birdie putt from distance.

In truth a par would've likely been enough but that's even better as they keep up Europe's domination of this opening hole.

Europe have come out swinging today!

  13. Postpublished at 07:16 BST 12 September

    1UP Maguire/Henseleit v Kupcho/Zhang (1)

Jen Kupcho arrows the third shot for the American pair straight at the flag. The ball thuds into the putting surface and bites. Six feet left for birdie.

Esther Henseleit plays a bit more of a low skip, chase and bite affair from closer in, and her ball finishes two feet from the hole.

  14. USA in troublepublished at 07:15 BST 12 September

    Rhodes/Nadaud v Kim/Lee

That Andrea Lee tee shot was awful! It's a high, wide slice that's gone nowhere really and ended up at the bottom of a tree way off to the right and still miles away.

That's the worst tee shot I've seen in one of these things since Webb Simpson did something similar at the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles - when he only just made the start of the fairway with a hybrid!

Anyway, Auston Kim has to just dig it out before Lee finds the green with their third to give Europe the upper hand already.

    Hull/Woad v Lee/Coughlin (07:16)

There was a lot of noise around Europe's top two ranked players leading into this Solheim Cup.

But while Charley Hull and Lottie Woad showed glimpses of their potential, they were well beaten by Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz in the foursomes before giving up a three-hole lead in the fourballs as they had to settle for one half point out of two matches.

They face Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin who were foursomes winner on day one, easily seeing off the mis-firing Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Celine Boutier.

  16. Birdie-birdie startpublished at 07:12 BST 12 September

    1UP Stark/Grant v Corpuz/Korda (2)

Two birdies in two holes for Maja Stark and Linn Grant, but this time it's just for the half as Allisen Corpuz and Nelly Korda also get their birdie.

  17. Fore!published at 07:09 BST 12 September

    Rhodes/Nadaud v Kim/Lee

Andrea Lee gets the crowd going and calls for them to keep making noise as she tees off, but that backfires on her as she pops the ball up short and miles right into trouble.

She walks off with a smile but there's a touch of egg on her face there after that one - the last thing you want to do after revving up the crowd is produce a shot like that.

Nastasia Nadaud opts for a more conventional approach to hitting an opening Solheim Cup tee shot and she fires one safely down the left side of the fairway.

  18. Maguire nails first putt of daypublished at 07:05 BST 12 September

    1UP Maguire/Henseleit v Kupcho/Zhang (1)

Rose Zhang first to putt for the US. This is right on line, borrowing slightly from the left and curling towards the cup... no! A couple of inches shy of pace.

She's shown Leona Maguire the speed and angle of approach. And the Irishwoman won't pass up an opportunity like this.

Just like that there is blue on the board in the top two matches.

  19. On the tee in match threepublished at 07:05 BST 12 September

    Rhodes/Nadaud v Kim/Lee (07:04 BST)

    Solheim CupImage source, Getty Images

Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud were a revelation yesterday making their Solheim Cup debuts together and taking out Allisen Corpuz and Auston Kim in the fourballs.

This time they'll be taking on the tougher foursomes format and also taking on Kim again, but this time alongside Andrea Lee - who lost in foursomes yesterday.
