It is like Europe have won the match on the 14th green.

Ciganda raises her hands to the crowd and says; 'Come on, let's hear you!'

    Ciganda looks untouchable.

Carlota Ciganda is inevitable! The Spaniard has around seven feet right-to-left and she rolls it in there perfectly to put her side two up with four to play.

You'd think she'd just won the Solheim Cup with the celebration, as she brings out all the old favourites - there's a putter thrown to the ground, a huge road and a vigorous smack of the badge on her shirt.

    Talk about passion.

Linn Grant and Maja Stark have struggled this year on the LPGA Tour and both won tournaments last year. They have been magnificent this week and shown they can be top 10 individually.

A positive stroke from the French rookie! Three holes to go, they are still alive.

How about that from Nastasia Nadaud. A beauty into the 15th after Auston Kim's water ball!

It'll give her four feet for birdie.

The Americans both miss with long eagle putts and that leaves Charley Hull with another of about the 15 footer range to claim the hole - and she's just seen the line from Yealimi Noh's putt.

It looks a good stroke but the ball just starts wandering off line and eventually just strays across the front of the cup just inches away from dropping! Pretty much sums up the round, the day and in fact the tournament so far for Hull.

Lottie Woad actually hit the flagstick with her fourth after a drop as well - couldn't make it up could you.

Treacherous hole the par-three 15th as Auston Kim has found out.

Her ball rolls into the water and that's the tiniest glimmer of hope for Leona Maguire and Nastasia Nadaud who have to win every hole down the stretch.

Team Europe's Maja Stark and Linn Grant, speaking after their fourballs victory...

Stark: "Man, it is so nice, especially when you stand over a putt, and you know that you have messed up on the last hole, then you have got that to win this match.

"Just to know that Linn isn't freaking out and Linn knows I'm not freaking out. It means you can focus on yourself a lot more. You don't have to baby each other."

Grant: "It was great. We turned it on, on the back nine. We got our things together and started playing how we wanted to. A great game from both sides."

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Lee 2UP (15)

By a layer of paint on her golf ball Andrea Lee stays dry with her approach on 16 - she definitely thought that one was wet when she was watching it in the air.

Lottie Woad plays a similar shot, lands in a similar spot, but instead of the bounce helping her this time her ball jumps into the air then rolls back into the water!

    Fine margins.

  12. US miss chance to win third fourball matchpublished at 16:45 BST 12 September

    Nadaud/Maguire v Zhang/Kim 4UP (14)

After that splash of blue goes on the board, back at the 14th, Auston Kim has the chance to immediately cancel it out from 10 feet.

This one does not drop and the hole is halved.

But Team US head to the 14th, four up.

Great response from Carlota Ciganda, just a hole after seeing the lead lost she makes a birdie on 13 that restores Europe's one-hole advantage in this bottom match.

  15. Stark wins match for Europe!published at 16:41 BST 12 September

    Stark/Grant beat Khang/Coughlin 2&1

    Overall score

Up at the 17th, Maja Stark has a birdie putt to win the match after Megan Khang misses.

It's about 10 feet. A hush falls on the crowd and in it rolls!

Huge cheers and the yellow arms are aloft. Europe take the first point of the afternoon.

And this pair of Stark and Linn Grant win again!

That might be the first putt that Lottie Woad has made from that distance all day, but she has done it when she needed it.

  17. Pressure putt from Woadpublished at 16:36 BST 12 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Lee 2UP (15)

Alison Lee make her two and that forces Lottie Woad to make a pressure putt - which she does to keep this match interesting, but at two down with three to play Europe have to win the next.

Charley Hull again is a frustrated figure as her putt for birdie just misses the hole.

    1UP Stark/Grant v Khang/Coughlin (16)

Megan Khang perhaps needed something a little better with her approach into the 17th hole, especially with partner Lauren Coughlin battling with the rough.

She's on the green but a good 30 feet from the flag, while Maja Stark has knocked hers much closer.

The US need to win this hole to stop it being a guaranteed half for the Europeans.

    Nadaud/Maguire v Zhang/Kim 4UP (13)

Rose Zhang has the privilege of just rolling a putt close to tie the 13th hole against Leona Maguire and Nastasia Nadaud.

They retain their four-hole lead with just five left to play.
