A big moment for Lottie Woad and she stepped up to the occasion.

A nice approach shot from Charley Hull too.

Yealimi Noh again misses her putt, probably just the second big miss of the day, and that's a big escape for Europe as that would've probably been the final dagger.

As it stands, they're still in this but could really do with getting something from 15 - which is the par three over water that's caused so many problems.

Bad tactics going for it from Maja Stark.

If she knocked it down to her favourable yardage, she would have been putting for birdie.

    Ciganda/Boutier v Kupcho/Duncan A/S (12)

Carlota Ciganda hit a similar putt to Celine Boutier and that's a problem because Lindy Duncan managed to can hers from distance so the Americans win that hole to get the match back to all square.

This session really is on a knife edge now, and there's a danger the USA could even take a clean sweep the way things are going.

  5. Grant misses, US cut leadpublished at 16:23 BST 12 September

    1UP Stark/Grant v Khang/Coughlin (16)

I make this about seven feet for Linn Grant up the slope.

With the two Americans in tight she has to make this to keep the lead - no, it's drifted wide.

    One up, two to play.

So close to a massive eagle for Megan Zhang as her ball grazes the edge of the 16th cup.

Linn Grant is also taking aim with the putter but from down the slope off the green and she leaves it short.

The door slightly ajar for the US to cut Europe's lead.

    1UP Ciganda/Boutier v Kupcho/Duncan (11)

Oh Celine Boutier, she read that long-range putt perfectly and it's tracking all the way but just runs out of gas at the death - inches away!

    So close.

A nice chip to the 13th green from Lottie Woad, that with a few more rolls may have dropped in. The shoulders are a bit slumped though as she walks onto the putting surface with the Americans in good positions again, leading by two and with holes running out.

    It's that familiar sinking feeling...

Oh no from Maja Stark. She's into the water down the par-five 16th.

This is where you need your partner.

The European fans have been brilliant this afternoon. In the last hour or so, they have got loud out there.

It's looking like Leona Maguire's fierce resistance is being broken here.

They're four down now to Rose Zhang and Anton Kim, with only six holes to go.

Very interested to see our order tomorrow. Where do you put Woad and Hull? Surely not at the front if we need blue on the board early, but will that annoy them? Big decision for the captain.

  15. USA two aheadpublished at 16:07 BST 12 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Lee 2UP (13)

The English duo must be sick of seeing the same thing happen time and time again, seeing their putts just miss the target and then watching an American step in and roll one in.

This time it's Andrea Lee making it look all so simple, when Woad and Hull will tell you it's anything but.

Celine Boutier and Lindy Duncan look like they're putting through treacle as they both leave birdie putts shot on the 11th.

Jennifer Kupcho then misses leaving Carlota Ciganda with a six footer for the hole, and we all know what will happen now...oh, she's missed!

Didn't see that coming as the Spaniard has been brilliant up to now, but that putt was off target from the start and just hit the left lip and stayed up.

  17. Coughlin matches Stark's birdiepublished at 16:03 BST 12 September

    2UP Stark/Grant v Khang/Coughlin (15)

Megan Khang's putt comes up short but that's nerveless from Lauren Coughlin as she rolls her birdie effort in to match Maja Stark.

Europe two up with three to play.

Remember when we said Linn Grant had produced a moment of magic at the 15th?

Well, she doesn't even need to put it in because partner Maja Stark has just downed a stunning putt from 25 feet to enormous roars around the putting surface.

If neither Megan Khang or Lauren Coughlin convert their birdie putts, it's a guaranteed half for Europe.

    Nadaud/Maguire v Zhang/Kim 2UP (11)

Both Auston Kim and Rose Zhang are in the fairway bunker down 12 and within a tee's length of each other.

The rules official comes over to authorise next steps and it's Zhang to go first.

"Oh no," she exclaims as she thins it and leaves it short of the green, just over the sand trap that flanks the left side.
