A brilliant shot from the American, Coughlin. She will have 12 feet coming up for her birdie. This is a brilliant watch. A nice approach play there also from Khang and she will have 15 feet for her birdie.

This group continues to deliver some high-quality golf and it remains on a knife-edge as we head towards the closing holes.

Three balls fly onto the 13th green with Maja Stark and Lauren Coughlin both setting up birdie chances from inside 15 feet.

Woad and Hull need to believe in themselves, they’re great players and it’s tough when your opponents make eagles. Come on Team Europe!

  5. Stark & Grant turn match aroundpublished at 15:18 BST 12 September

    1UP Stark/Grant v Khang/Coughlin (12)

That's at least a foot wide from Megan Khang from around 30 feet.

Lauren Coughlin is a good 20 feet away and she goes ever so close but when it doesn't drop she tells Linn Grant to pick up her ball, which was actually only around 18 inches from the cup.

Lottie Woad wins a hole - first time I've said that today - and it's just a tiddler she needs to send home to claim the 10th and trail the USA by just a hole.

We've basically written these two off but you know what, they're only one back and still very much in this contest.

Grant has put that to three feet! That could be easily conceded. She is on a heater at the moment.

    Stark/Grant v Khang/Coughlin A/S (11)

What. A. Shot. Linn Grant has a wedge in hand and flips her approach into two ro three feet on the 12th hole.

A very short birdie putt for the Swede incoming and unless Megan Khang and Lauren Coughlin can find something special from long range this match could be turning blue.

This is why Maguire was a captain's pick. She is so good when it matters.

  10. Maguire on a rollpublished at 15:11 BST 12 September

    Maguire/Nadaud v Zhang/Kim 1UP (9)

'Let's go Leona, let's go' shouts a fan up on the ninth green as Leona Maguire drops in a birdie putt to win back-to-back holes for Europe.

The European duo could have gone four down a couple of holes back but have found their spark and it's now very much game on.

    1UP Ciganda/Boutier v Kupcho/Duncan (8)

We've not seen much of Celine Boutier in the Carlota Ciganda show, and when we do we see her push a short putt wide of the mark which allows the Americans to tap in for a birdie to cut the gap to just one.

Ciganda could really do with some help from her partner at some point.

    On the course...

It is phenomenal. Tailor-made for match play.

I love that the organisation committee made the decision to change the routing.

It creates an amphitheatre at the main part of the course to watch everything.

It does not look like a modern golf course.

The European captain's stubbornness costing us big time. Woad and Hull should not be together again. Both should have been left out or separated.

    Peter, Wokingham

If Europe lose, it will be the points Hull and Woad lost. They've not been too good and should have been split up or rested.

    Hull/Woad v Noh/An Lee 2UP (9)

    Iain Carter

Yealimi Noh is putting like a dream. There's a big smile on the face of the American. That's the third significant putt that she has made.

  17. Noh chance for Europepublished at 14:52 BST 12 September

    Hull/Woad v Noh/Lee 2UP (9)

Yealimi Noh is just putting the pants off the European side here, rolling everything in even with that long putter and awkward upright style. It obviously works, I might have to go out and get a long putter...

Charley Hull has no answer to that with a putt from closer range than the one Noh's just holed, but she has to be rattled a little bit by the American just constantly finding the cup from all angles.

And while obviously Hull and Lottie Woad could be playing better, Noh has made five birdies and an eagle in just nine holes so far! That's pretty tough for anyone to live with.

    Stark/Grant v Khang/Coughlin 1UP (10)

Lovely. Maja Stark gets the number [of her iron] just right on the lengthy par-three 11th hole and skips her ball in off the front edge to leave a presentable birdie putt.

Linn Grant sticks her effort in tight as well and both European balls are well inside those of their opponents.

    2UP Ciganda/Boutier v Kupcho/Duncan (7)

One of those quiet holes were nobody really threatens to win it, but as long as they're not losing holes that's just fine for the final European pair as they stay two ahead.
